Golden Hills Golf Club

Played this course a few times now and every time it seems to be getting worse and worse. Some tee boxes have either minimal grass or it’s not trimmed. The fairways are starting to thin out with patchy dead areas or just packed dirt. The rough is full of dead trimmings, bushes, trees, trash, and maintenance items. There is more trash lately but we did meet a marshal from Canada who was picking up trash and broken tees, thank you! The bathrooms are in bad shape with one having a broken toilet in the ladies. The water fountains are rusted out and one is missing-not sure I’d drink from them. The staff is very nice. Pace of play was a little slow, had to wait a few times because the group ahead had to wait. With all the rain the course should be better.

The course is quite nice and in pretty darn good condition. In addition the staff was very friendly. Like most courses, they increased their green fees by 33% during spring break which is my only complaint.

Conditions were slightly better than they were the last time I tried this course 2 years ago. However, not near what this course was 10-15 years ago. They have maintenance issues when there are wet areas caused by overwatering or sprinkler breaks. The greens rolled very slow compared to other courses.

Teams not not spread out enough, made for an on relaxing day off golf, felt pushed and rushed. Fairways and greens pretty flat, not real challenging, all and all good course to get out and play.

The course is still full of weeds, 5+hour round, and homeless everywhere….stay away and just play greenfield lakes

By far, one of the worst courses in AZ. If you like courses in terrible condition, slow play, unpleasant staffing, this is the one for you!. Don’t waste your money!

Nice local course with great food and great people. The entire grounds could use some love but it's not the best time of year so I'm assuming it will be in better shape in a few months. Nice grass driving range.

Putting practice green has been in bad shape the last two times I've played its practically unusable. They need to close it off limits and really repair that thing it's not even worth practicing on before you play.

Seems a bit pricey for the conditions. Luckily we got a reduced price deal. Not worth $100 a round. Layout was pretty good. Greens were good, but fairways were rough and need planting.

I played this course cuz it was cheaper than others . There is a reason why. I’m pretty open minded when it comes to cheap golf…this place sucked. Greens were super slow, fairways not in good shape and irrigation issues. I played Bear Creek Golf complex the day after…way better course conditions and similar price.

greens were excellent. However, if you did not get on the fairway, good luck. All the rough areas were terrible conditions. Not a great value for the course.

OK course Tee boxes a little rough

The bar and pro shop was closed when we finished the round so not totally user friendly!! I like the starter...good job!

I enjoyed the course and was impressed by the layout and great condition. It was a Saturday so the play was very slow compared to weekdays. Had to wait at least 5-10 minutes at each hole.
