Red Mountain Ranch Country Club

Slow play over 4.5 hours. No staff around to keep the slow, entitled three some moving. Just the usual slow men who don't even consider that they are backing the course up. If you suck, that's fine, just suck faster.

True to Pete Dye designed Golf Courses Red Mt. Ranch is a challenging test!

You'd like a Pete Dye track to be in a little better shape, but 60 bucks on hot deal was absolutely worth it.

Course design is wonderful. Having just over- seeded, the greens weren’t as brutal as they can be as these greens have so big undulations. The pace of play was perfect for our 4 some who were 3 strangers, very funny & who badgered each other for 18 holes! They weren’t very good, but Vincenzo, my cart partner had family in Italy as do I, so it was just a perfect match!

Staff was nice. Great value. Nice course. Would play again.

Course was CPO but not too taxing. Lots of small hills buffering several holes, so target golf to those greens. Fairways were ok but lots of dry or dead patches. Greens were coming along but several had wash board patches. Tee boxes need some love. It was an interesting layout which we enjoyed. Pace was just over 4 hours. Enjoyed the elevation on a few tee boxes.

Overall the course is in good shape. The greens are rolling at ~ an 8 and in fair shape. Some of the tee boxes are pretty beat-up, fairways in good condition. No bevy cart so load up on fluids before front nine and at the turn. We had a great time!

I played the week before and there is a massive difference in the greens and fairways in a week. Tough track if you are offline and struggle hitting greens.
