The golf course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club is a beautifully designed layout set against a desert landscape with rock formations, mesquite trees, and cacti. Pete and Perry Dye designed the course, combining both beauty and challenge. This championship course was built on rolling terrain and has large, sharply contoured greens and extensive mounding that is reinforced with railroad ties. There are not only deep sand bunkers but also grass bunkers protecting the greens. There are also four ponds on the course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club, but only three create water hazards that come into play on four holes. A notable hole on the course in which water comes into play is the sixth, a hole that has a peninsula green with water surrounding it along three sides.

The course condition was excellent, This time of year, most courses are in ok shape, but this was in great condition. I highly recommend Red Mountain Ranch.

Easily the worst experience in the last 20 years.

The course is not in a playable condition. Only the front 9 is open due to “course condition”. We were not told until we walked up to the counter after pre-paying for the round. You have to play the front nine twice. There are bare and wet spots everywhere. Green speed is about 6-7. No marshal and no cart girl. It was 102 degrees out there. We felt the course owed us an apology for not being upfront about the course condition. By the way, we saw people playing the back 9 as we were driving away from the course. It also looked like in a much better condition than the front nine. What is going on?! Never again.

Terrible

I know weather hasn’t been good but no where did it say how terrible the conditions where and that only half of the course was open. Even hole 9 was a muddy mess. Cart path only but even that was trashed

Great Shape, But Greens Still Fuzzy

The course is in great shape for this time of year. Greens are rolling ok, but are still a little fuzzy and a little slow. About a week or two and I think they will be in perfect shape. Worth playing right now with the reduced rates.

Challenging, but Amazing Course

This was my first time playing RMCC. I got a great deal and was surprised at how nice the conditions the course was in. There wasn’t any hint of summer with how well maintained the entire course was. I suggest keeping your ball in the fairway, however, as it can be very challenging otherwise.
