Red Mountain Ranch Country Club

I've played Red Mountain Ranch a couple times in the past, and it has always been a challenging Pete Dye course in pretty good shape.

This round was the first round I've played in a long time where I left the course genuinely disliking golf, and it wasn't because of the layout. Fairways were in terrible shape (dirt and no grass in most places), around the green was the same and borderline impossible to chip, the "sand traps" either had nothing in them or gravel (the cart path was softer) to the point where we all agreed to give each other free relief, and the pace of play was absolutely atrocious. They must've jam packed as many tee times as they could before over seeding because our tee time started 15 minutes behind schedule, and by the 6th hole we were waiting 15-20 minutes at each tee box. Easily a 5.5 hour round at one of the most poorly maintained courses I've ever seen. Wasn't worth $20, let alone the $60 I paid.

Never coming back and do not golf here.

Course conditions awful, bare spots everywhere, greens not cut - super slow, overall low value, reminded me of a mini course. Had to negotiate to get service at bar. I WILL NEVER BE BACK.

The fairways and the greens were in above average conditions for the summer time and was well-kept up. The layout was very good and kept you on your toes from hole to hole. I would definitely recommend playing here while the summer rates are available.

Good course condition and greens, had a good round and special THANK YOU to pro shop stuff for nice gesture letting us play ahead of big group!

Course was in good shape for 110 deg temperature. Will play again before winter

The layout of this course is really fun….some course knowledge is beneficial.

The greens are a little slower, but it’s fun!

The course condition was excellent, This time of year, most courses are in ok shape, but this was in great condition. I highly recommend Red Mountain Ranch.

The course is not in a playable condition. Only the front 9 is open due to “course condition”. We were not told until we walked up to the counter after pre-paying for the round. You have to play the front nine twice. There are bare and wet spots everywhere. Green speed is about 6-7. No marshal and no cart girl. It was 102 degrees out there. We felt the course owed us an apology for not being upfront about the course condition. By the way, we saw people playing the back 9 as we were driving away from the course. It also looked like in a much better condition than the front nine. What is going on?! Never again.
