Red Mountain Ranch Country Club

I booked this round on golf now for 135$ US. The first time I booked it, it said there was an error. I tied again and it worked. Later I found that I paid for two rounds and they would not give me back my money. This course was not worth the hassle and money I paid to play it.

Greens were horrible . Patchy , bumpy , shaggy.

Slow round due to the 4-some I was in with 2-some behind us, let them play through then a single caught up to us and we let him play through only to end up waiting on him. Make more 4-somes in the future. Also, the greens were bumpy and not in good shape.

Have played this course many times before and used to think it was a gem. It’s really gone downhill and the course is in absolutely terrible condition now. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Love the lay-out and difficulty of the course. Extremely disappointed with the greens as they were very bumpy. We were a four-some with 2 singles and a two-some but had a two-some behind us and they skipped hole 3 to go by us which was fine. Then 2 holes later we had a single that we felt we should let play through only to catch up to him as he was waiting for a two-some. Why did they not pair up other two-some's and singles to make four-some's to make the round flow better.

This is positioned as a "Country Club", but it is currently in the condition of a poor to fair public course. There is water leaking and standing in many, many places, so a lot of mud on the ball. Some of the fairways are in good condition, but Greens are very bumpy and in poor condition, and not true at all. And the bunkers are in very bad condition, either hard packed or muddy for the most part. You can find many, many options with much better value.

Course was in rough shape. Tees, fairways, roughs, and greens all need help. Couple this with the difficulty of a Pete Dye design and it was not enjoyable, especially for $100.

Terrible layout with less than acceptable pace of play. Visually unappealing and houses too close to the course. Not my recommendation by any stretch.

It’s a challenging course with small sloped elevated and well protected greens plus the fairways are on the narrow side. My guess is this why the pace is quite slow. Over 2.5 hours for the front nine and the back nine is a bit more difficult.

Interesting Pete Dye course, back 9 a lot more different than front with some tricked up holes. Final hole a real gem.

I hate 5 hour rounds. This may have been caused by the fivesome in front of us. We saw the ranger 3 or more times. So this was apparently OK either the course.
