The golf course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club is a beautifully designed layout set against a desert landscape with rock formations, mesquite trees, and cacti. Pete and Perry Dye designed the course, combining both beauty and challenge. This championship course was built on rolling terrain and has large, sharply contoured greens and extensive mounding that is reinforced with railroad ties. There are not only deep sand bunkers but also grass bunkers protecting the greens. There are also four ponds on the course at Red Mountain Ranch & Country Club, but only three create water hazards that come into play on four holes. A notable hole on the course in which water comes into play is the sixth, a hole that has a peninsula green with water surrounding it along three sides.

Great track!

Awesome layout, course in great condition 😎 and excellent Arizona scenery. Unfortunately the group ahead had no business playing from the tips but did so anyway. Marshall’s response was “well it’s a Saturday” … 5hrs+ round 🧐

Red Mountain

Course was great but there was a foursome in front of our threesome and there wasn’t anyone in front of of them and they didn’t offer to let us play through

It was a 5 minute wait to hit every shot which made it really hard to get into any kind of rhythm

Great course, Awesome staff!

Played this course 2/18/26. Had an early morning start. Had 2 groups ahead of us and we didn’t have to wait once.. course is in phenomenal shape and the greens are extremely tricky! Had a blast and will definitely play again! 10/10 recommend

Annoyed at turn

Called in food early, but at turn no one was to be found. Waited 5 min, then called multiple times and no answer. After 10 min tracked worker down outside on smoke break I guess.

Then as we pass starter on way to tee 10 he tells us to keep up with group in front of us. Felt rushed from that point on which was super annoying.

great

The course was in excellent condition. As we were playing, members were busy filling in divots on the course and tee boxes. We were able to complete 18 holes in 3 hrs and 15 minutes. Awesome!

Beautiful setting overlooking the east valley.

Beautiful area off 202 West, overlooking the valley below. Very challenging holes provides a nice change from many other flat boring courses I've tried. I would definitely play this again,. One additional plus to note, is they provide covered water coolers on almost every other hole, ball cleaners, 2 water bottles in the ice chest, restroom houses along the course, but no GPS in the cart. Good value and great views. Club house could use an update.

GN Reservation listed as Guest not by name

Hot deal did not register correctly with the starters computer he had a hard time finding my reservation and insisted he see my confirmation. I ASKED WHAT GOOD DOES THAT DO WHEN YOU CANNOT FIND MY TEE TIME. IT TOOK HIM 10 MINUTES, We did not have time to hit range ball only practice putting, then pleaded with the starter he would let us go out early there was no one around, after 5 minutes on the putting green he called us over realized he made a mistake. Only gave this a 3 ☆ traps were stony

Great course! Slow pace

Course in really great condition! If you keep it in the fairway... Other wise your hitting off rocks. Some bunkers are gravel filled as well... Pretty rough on your clubs. The fairways, greens and tee boxes are in good shape. Pace if play was pretty slow. Took 2.5 hrs to play the front 9. We teed off at 2:17 and had to quit on 16 because it was to dark.

Enjoy the day

Very playable and wonderful challenges on each hole. Better scoring is possible if you became familiar with the layout. I would recommend having range finder or good app as carts don’t have GPS.

Pete Dye course demands much from your short game and the many bunkers I played were tricky or position impossible to play. However the sand traps were consistent and in great condition to give you the best chance to succeed.

I really enjoyed the day and would love to play it again.

See the approach shot demand on hole 18!

Several times during the day I laughed and said “Thanks Pete”.
