About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Slow, slow and did I mention slow?
Had a 1:08 tee time, sunset was 5:36 with last light at 6:05….we had to quit after playing only 14 holes. Management needs to figure that out.
Consistent
This course is in poor condition, has a shortage of carts and no in course ranger helping the pace of play. Will not return.
Slow pace of play, slow greens
Tried this course again because of proximity to family… pace of play was terrible ( 2 hours, 45 min back nine). No marshal seen all day!! Green were very slow, almost unplayable……won’t be back

Great conditions
Conditions were great. Greens were a little slow but ended up speeding just a bit as they dried out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pace a play was definitely slow. But it was a busy Saturday so I get it.

Wet. Always Under Repair. Gimmicky.
Have played here 3 times, each the same experience. The 9 and dine offer is the back nine holes, and should be the main preface to my review. Could be a fun course. Frequent mud-balls- having to play it up in the fairway. At least one large portion of a hole was under repair each visit. Gimmicky fairways and gimmicky traps. 3rd time was the last! Just way too expensive compared to courses in a 20 minute radius.

Pace of play continues to be an issue
Gotten better but pace of play continues to be an issue. I do like the reversal of front 9 and back 9. Gives the starter more control on groups since he can see the 10am, 1008 group tee off...etc

Love that you put the 9’s back to their original sides!! Not thrilled about no chipping on the putting green!! There is no distance from the green to hit longer than a 15 yard shot that you would land on the green and make a mark. Absolutely unnecessary to make it a putting only green.
Arsis Fail
Course was in the worst condition I’ve ever seen
Burnt out fairways little to no grass greens bumpy and trash in the low areas from the flood
Superstition. Missing the old days
Not the course of old. Course is showing it's age. Lots of trash and debris scattered. Lots of dead trees. Overall fair course conditions.
Course still plays nice, is challenging, and enjoyable. I would recommend for an easy, no frills experience.
Gets worse and worse
What you would think would have been a great holiday golf time was anything but that. Nobody to greet you or offer a cart, nobody answering the phones, no drink cart, course was so dirty. Mind you all on a holiday you would think they would atleast clean it up. Definitely worth the price nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent visit. We had a beverage cart and player assistant on duty during the holiday. The monsoon and one inch of rain on Friday caused debris to collect in our ponds, which we’re actively cleaning up, as is our standard practice.

Awful course
Once a great course to now one of the worst courses in AZ. Don't play here. Field conditions are horrible. No starter to push pace along. Have to pay for range balls which is absurd. Maintenance people who oversee the course conditions needs to be fired and includes the manager. No cart lady. Water jugs were empty. Bathrooms are disgusting. Players beware. Golf at your own risk. It's your money.
