The Painted Mountain Golf Club is a challenging desert-style course with a variety of different tees to accommodate every age group and skill level. The course offers a lengthier challenge from the first hole, a par-5 dogleg right, to the last, which requires an approach shot over water in order to reach the green. The Painted Mountain Golf Club, in addition to the course, is also home to the John Jacob's Golf School.

Nice course, no complaints

We were the second or third group to tee off so had no issues with pace of play. Greens and fairways were well kept. Couple of the tee boxes were roughed up but nothing that you couldnt tee up and hit a bomb. Overall for the price and quality of course, I had no complaints. The services weren’t like McCormick or Silverado but you pay for what you get. Would golf again there and recommend to someone on a budget.

Good pace

The pace of play was much better than usual. The tee boxes are a mess, hard to even get a tee into the ground. May be put a hammer at each tee box ...?🤣

Solid!

Great pace of play, greens rolled very nice, everyone was friendly. A bit expensive for the overall quality, many dead areas and lots of dirt patches. Needs some work but great for the average golfer.

The WORST run course I've seen in last 10yrs

OMG! 3:07 tee time. We get there 2:15pm. 25 guys all standing around waiting for carts. We didn't tee off until 3:50pm.. 45mins late.

Even worse... Despite the cart shortage they sent TWO five-somes off in a row before our group.. each with three carts... So those two extra carts given to the 5-somes would have been ours. As a result of the delayed start and waiting on TWO horrifically slow 5-somes we only got to play 14holes.. club house guy was collecting the greens fees and straight up lying and telling folks the wait was only 10 mins. They were booking groups every 7 mins. It's a complete clown show. Here's a tip... If 10% of your carts are out of commission then don't keep selling tee times you can't fulfill. It's just a math problem. Don't lie to your customers about the wait. Don't send out 3 carts in 5-somes when you have 20 guys waiting around for someone to come off 18 to grab their cart.

Second Round

This was my second time playing. The course has several par fives and requires almost all of ones clubs. There are a number of short par-4 holes that many golfers play as par-3s. This slows play on the front nine, as long hitters cannot tee off until people ahead get to the green.

Not what it used to be!

Up until 2 years ago this course used to be in amazing shape, i just played it again as I usually do every other year and to my Surprise was in awful condition. Unless you can pay less than $60.00 for a round it’s a hard pass! Don’t waste your time or money!

What is pace of play

We were supposed to start our round at 2:07 , they didn't have any golf carts availble so we were waiting for other golfers to finish their round. We got to hole 4 and there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. We were finished 5 holes in 2.5 hours .

Shooting par is doable!

Ladies' tees have a great advantage. Short course is fun because it's possible for a beginning/intermediate golfer to make pars and birdies on multiple holes!
