Painted Mountain Golf Club

2nd or 3rd time playing here. Lots of nice open fairways. Greens were a little dry but much better compared to other courses at this time of year. The staff was super friendly and accommodating (even on the phone). Plenty of room to warm up and get dialed in before starting the round. Overall another great experience at Painted Mountain

No driving range, No beverage cart. As a single golfer had to skip 3 holes (& 5 foursomes) to an open hole or it would’ve been a 5-6 hour round bc every hole is backed up with “new 125 handicap Covid golfers” than don’t know basic golf courtesy, people driving on Par 3 fairways, NON-handicapped 20-30 yr olds driving carts up the middle of the fairway to the 1st cut of the GREENS….no Ranger in site to regulate any of the kaos.

Was a complete waste of time & money.

50 bucks in May during the summer is robbery after playing this course. The tee boxes are uneven and torn up. They aren’t even trying. The fairways are half dirt. The greens are okay but that’s the only thing they pay attention to. The sand traps are hard dirt. This is really pathetic how embarrassing for such a great part of town and the residence you live on it.

Great course with a few tough holes. Would play again.

It’s a great run of the mill course that makes you really get your swing dialed for more challenging courses. What makes this place special are the people and the greens when in top condition

The course was in the worst shape I've ever seen it. We were not told about the work they're doing on all the fairways and greens.

Four deep is un acceptable! 5hr round unacceptable!

Green speeds were inconsistent but good condition. Overall great conditions.

As temperatures are beginning to rise, Painted Mountain GC was still in good playing condition. Tee boxes, for the most part, were level, though some needed to be changed (excessive wear). Fairways were cut short and did need water (tgey are drying out). Rough was playable, should you not venture into the dirt areas. Sand traps were needed some TLC (they lacked sand). The greens were beautiful, both fast and true (except there was this one raised lip around one of the holes). Pace was great at 3:20, with me walking along with a paired rider. This was good value-for-money, given a Hot Deal was available.

Pace of play was insanely slow. Front 9 took 2hrs 45 minutes. Back 9 2hrs and 30 min. Multiple times had backs ups on holes with the 3-4 groups waiting. An issue on the course earlier where the tees were moved up caused the biggest issues. We had the ranger then move the tees back for better play flow since the workers were done for the day. Hopefully that helped others behind us. This course plays pretty quick in the summer. Just not this round.
