About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Wildfire-Palmer
Nice course, good layout, starting at the JW Marriott and snaking it’s way through houses and condos. The houses aren’t to close in most areas which gives it a good feel/experience. Staff was nice and helpful. Went out as a single with a cart. They let me go earlier than my tee time to get ahead of a 3-some. I finished 18 in 2.5 hours.
Great Course
Played the front 9 of Palmer and front 9 of Faldo courses and both were in incredible condition. Staff is very friendly and courses are fun and in perfect shape. Fairways are like hitting off carpet. Greens a tad slow but super smooth. Course was flat so no exciting elevated tees or anything like that but a good desert course feel. Really enjoyed it and will be back!

Plenty of scrub rough plus Arnie's signature sand traps. Fun round overall and cant wait to play again Sunday morning!
Beautiful
Palmer course is beautiful. My only complaint is the bunkers didn’t have enough sand, hard to play from the green side bunkers with any touch
Typical Marriott Hospitality
Typical marriott hospitality. Friendly, accommodating staff, excellent golf courses. We played the Palmer back nine then the Faldo back nine. Faldo course was in exceptional condition. Palmer greens are still recovering from top dressing, but rolled smoothly, just a bit slow. Typical summer greens, got to keep them long enough to keep them alive. Still a good experience.
What a great experience
Didn’t expect to play 18 holes in 3 hours but I did it. Only saw 2 other groups that were out enjoying the course. Pace of play was great. Outside service staff made sure my day flowed and I got to play all 18 in a timely manner. Easy check in. Greens were actually quite amazing, fairways and tee boxes were great. I will be back soon.
Course is FUN!!
If it wan not 100+ out there the course would be PERFECT! layouts amazing, ton of bunkers, and slow greens. Looking forward to coming back when the greens are up to speed.
Always a great experience
Played Ocotillo yesterday and wildfire today. No comparison in condition or service. Marriott knows how to run a course and accommodate people. Ice and water on the carts and on the first tee, friendly staff, great gold course. One of my favorites, just a little pricey.
Good as I expected
Great conditions.
Finished round on a beautiful rainy day in less than 3 hours. Loved it all.
