About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Way bay courses for the money
I’d thought I’d try something new but this was kinda disappointing. I’ll stick to my more scenic , less expensive courses.
Excellent course, couldn't ask for better
The course conditions were superb. The Palmer course can be challenging with the placement of fairway & greenside bunkers. All bunkers were in excellent condition. This is quite the change from bunkers at most other courses, The greens were perfect. You got a nice true roll, We played the round in just under 3 hours. The staff are great--very helpful. The starter did a perfect job in spacing out golfers. Overall, definitely a top notch facility. If you haven't played Wildfire Golf Club, you should.

We really enjoyed playing the Palmer course. Conditions were excellent, as was the pace of play. Very playable course, yet challenging as well.
What a value for summer golf!
This was my first time playing Wildfire, and LOVED it! Wide fairways. Lots of trap. EVERYTHING was in great shape and greens were surprisingly slow for 100 degrees but also in great shape. I played on a weekday and done in 3.25 hours (after being allowed to play through). This course is usually out of my price range but I will do everything I can to get back there ASAP.

Arrogant staff. Would not accommodate an individual golfer that requested their own cart…

Made a single feel good
Teed off early. Pace of play was well under 4 hours. Manicured condition. Going back Thursday.
Great Golf Course
Look off course provided a challenge with exceptionally maintained fairways and greens.
Arnie’s Desert Gem
Love the course, great variety of holes. Plenty of challenge, but very fair if you hit good shots. The sand is not quite as good as you’d expect for an expensive resort course, a little too much bounce with the sand wedge. I think they either need some more sand or just some grooming to soften the sand. The grass is in good shape, but was surprised that the greens were slower than normal here. I suspect they are not cutting them as short because of our heat lately. But the greens are still in really good shape. I wish they had some cheaper rates for AZ residents, would love to play here more often.
