About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Very nice course for the discounted rate we paid. Would probably not pay the rack rate for this course. Staff was focused on next day set up for big 2-day tournament. Course restaurant was close after our round which was unfortunate.
Palmer Course Wildfire
Nice course and layout; fairways were average; greens were perfect; plenty of challenge
Little wow factor
I wanted to like this course we stayed at the JW Marriott but the course lacked any wow factor. No views no signature holes. Played eagle mountain the day before for half the price and enjoyed that course much more. For $255 a round on a Thursday morning is way too much for this course. Also pace of play was really slow with too many twosomes on the course
Horrible Shape
Wildfire Palmer course was in awful shape (the condition of a 60.00 municipal course) and definitely not worth the 300 I paid, burnt fairways, greens VERY slow, and shaggy. Phoenix municipal courses are in the same shape if not better shape then Wildfire and 220 cheaper.
Range balls at Wildfire are some of the worst i have ever seen.
Wildfire palmer
Course was in good shape, especially the greens. I got a great deal but at full price there are other courses I would play but would come back again at this price. Played back nine in about an hour. Staff was friendly, range and practice facilities were great, but no shade on the range.
Palmer Course
The course was very well maintained. Greens are near perfect. I was alone so pace of play non issue. Never waited and often played two balls. Staff was great. Not a real challenging course as most resort courses are. Would play again if I got a reasonable price.
Consistantly Awesome!
This place NEVER disappoints! It's really hard for me to give anyplace a 5 but this place really does deserve it, it really is perfect in every way, greens were fast and smooth, fairways flawless, collars had beautiful dark green grass. Ru, chip, pitch, whatever you want, fairways are wide with just the right amount of trouble. Traps had perfect sand conditions as well. Finished it out with Dinner at Roy's in the resort, best food on the planet.
Way Overpriced
Staff was uneventful, starter was friendly. Clubhouse was closed when we got done with our round with a tee time at 1:40. Parking is a pain when you can’t get validated for parking when clubhouse is closed. Not sure why parking has to be gated??? Course was in good shape but not as visually stimulating like several courses in the area. Minimal views. Unfortunately would not recommend.
LPGA plays here, you should too!

This is a challenging course, but playable- not overly penal.

Played the Palmer course on 3/10. Great layout and the greens are outstanding!
Friendly staff, bag drop next to parking lot. Great practice facilities. Had lunch before the round in the grill and it was also great.
We will return!

Disappointed
The grass was dormant, which no other course in Phoenix I played that week was. the beverage cart was non existent for 9 holes. Layout was average. I would never pay full price for this place.
Disappointed
Very disappointed with course conditions....fairways were brown and at times difficult to tell if your ball was in the fairway or rough. Expected better conditions especially during this time of year and for the price they charge.
