About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Afternoon play. 18 holes in under three hours!
Social distancing at its best when you play by yourself and very few on the course.
Great course.
Great course and friendly staff. Played on a Tuesday afternoon with my 4 yr old son and had no issues. Great place to take kids with their Kids-Play-Free-After-3 (with paying adult) program, including free rental clubs for kids. Only negative I could say is the drive in could use better information as you have to go through a ticketed gate to park before finding your way to the clubhouse.
Always Great
I have reviewed this course before. One of two courses at Wildfire, it is the ‘tamer ‘ of the two. With more traditional bunkering and a more straightforward layout, it affords the average player a more manageable course as compared to Faldo—the other course. Both are great courses, always in great shape.
Excellent
What a great course. Greens were excellent and ran true. Fairways were in nice shape. The conditions were windy which made the course a little harder.
Nice course staff friendly for the most part one of minor staff complained about towel not put were he wanted when we were crossing over.
Given the current corona virus, staff at the bag drop should not be spitting on the ground. It is always unpleasant, but especially unacceptable at this time.

Desert delight
Had a great day here! Greens were firm and fast and fairways were perfect, the rye grass was a beautiful dark green, tee boxes and divots were cared for. Snack Cart was pricey at 4 dollars per candy bar :) The resteraunt "Roys" was Pacific Rim incredible!! This is one of my Favorites in AZ and CA
Near perfection
The only reason it's not a 5 is it's not bent grass wall to wall like say Desert Springs or Rams Hill. Plays awesome greens were at about an 11 but very firm.
Palmer Wildfire 02 03 2020
It was a partly cloudy day with wind from 3 to 20 mph and a high of 60. By the time we left 18's green we were very cold and ready to find a warm place to recover. The course was in very good shape, greens were firm and fast, bunkers had plenty of sand and the staff was wonderful. The starter did a great job of managing our start time which conflicted with a group of members. We had fun and enjoyed the day.
Really fun course! Not a lot of variety but fun holes anyway. Got to find the fairway but not overly long. If you hit it in the dessert it’s probably gone. Greens rolled well, fairways were awesome. Kind of pricey but would play it again.
Beautiful course, nice layout, fast midweek
2nd time I have played this course and fell in love with it again. I love it even more when I cna get a free round which was the case today and the only reason to avoid this place is if you are on a tight budget. Highly recommended
