About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Nice & Friendly
Always enjoy playing there and in general pace of play is always good. That's a key reason I like playing there. Also excellent practice range.
Good course and great practice facilities
Very enjoyable course and practice facilities. Fairways are generous and layout is formidable.
A terrific golf course
I had a friend play the Wildfire Faldo course and he raved about it and when I saw the deal on golf now I took advantage and played the Palmer course. What a great experience. Everything from the practice facility to the friendly staff through to the course were first class!! I can’t wait to try out the Faldo track now.
This place is terrific!!
We played here last year and remembered how challenging the course was, would recommend it to anyone who loves to play golf.
Good day at Wildfire - Palmer course
We played in the end of October after the course was over seeded which meant it was cart path only. In spite of the slow greens and slightly longer grass in the fairways and rough, we really enjoyed ourselves. I imagine the course will be beautiful during the high season in Scottsdale. I would definitely recommend playing this course when you are in this area.
Very rough conditions
Brought an overseas guest to show him Wildfire which is one of my favorites. Played Palmer and was very disappointed in conditions - glacially slow greens, ragged patches throughout fairways. I understand that seasonal overseeding is the problem but being aware of this in advance and at minimum having discounted fees would have been welcome. Wouldn't play here again until conditions improve significantly as it not up to participate and doesn't reflect quality of the course and club.
Beautiful Desert Golf
Very nice Arnold Palmer desert golf layout. No tricked up holes, all trouble is out there visible. Beautiful day, beautiful course. Also got a good early afternoon rate.
Wildfire Palmer course
Great condition and pace of play - 3 hrs. 10 minutes. Course has numerous tee box options and is well marked.
Picked the right times
Played the course two times. On the 1st day the heat was pretty bad (100+) with very little breeze. We teed off at 7:00 AM. The second day we had some breeze and the temp was 83 at tee off time.(7:20) Regardless, the course was in good condition fun to play.
Course is in great condition for Sept!
This place is great and is always worth the price. Staff and grounds are phenomenal. Faldo or Palmer courses are a great challenge. Head Pro Instructor, Matt Keel, is an amazing teacher and has a great way of communicating.

Great, friendly staff. Resort courses often oversold. But round was just over 4 hours with plenty of rangers keeping pace of play steady

We actually played the Faldo Course. More traps than Bayer has aspirin.
Golfnow no longer competitive.
Wfire a nice course unfortunately gnow has lost too many other good courses in my area..85253...and teeoff.com now has better selection and better prices. I really regret gettin vip and will not be fooled next time offer comes up. Looks to me like gnow slowly going out of business
