Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge

I have played this course before but not this time of year. I was surprised how fast and in some places dried out the course was. It was not in as good of shape as I thought it would be (not as green). And the greens were quite fast. But I do love the layout and always a fun and challenging course to play.

Course was in great condition greens were fast but fair love the layout only problem had a slow group in front of us which slow down are pace all in all I would highly recommend this corse

This course was beautiful. For a beginner to intermediate golfer like me it was still a very fun course. Loved the location. It's a beautiful course. We played the Palmer course which I prefer to the Faldo course.

We had an early morning tee time, 6:30 AM. The high that they would be 106 so the teetime was perfect. The staff was friendly and lwe played in three hours and 20 minutes. I would highly recommend the wildfire experience.

Couldn't have asked for a better day on the golf course. Got this at a great price with Golf Now Hot Deal. Was a gift to my husband for his birthday. He absolutely loved it. He kept remarking about the condition of the course and how impeccable the fairways and greens were. He scored well and made for a perfect day!

Great experience on this nice course. Staff were great. Price was most reasonable for course of this quality. We chose to play this course twice in our 10 day stay in the desert & also played the Faldo course once. No hesitation in recommending. Staff were among the most user friendly we found anywhere.

When Arnie designed this course several decades ago he wanted to bring the illusion of multiple elevations on what was a flat barren desert. Those guys moved tons of dirt to create this land of berms. There are not a lot of golf courses that have artificial berms all over the course. Even the fairways are undulating with bumps appearing throughout.

The most disconcerting feature is the unseen drops off the fairway. If your shot strays just a bit left or right it will land twenty feet down in the sand collection areas.

The pro shop check-in was friendly and efficient with Cheryl.

The starter Devious Dave was a little disorganized. When he promised he would try to work us in early he then "Forgot" because all his members showed up.

This is a hybrid resort course. Half the folks playing here are monthly members and they will always get the nod over hotel guests or other visitors.

The beverage cart lady seemed to be just going through the motions.

This is a nice course and fun to play. There are lots of shots that would be easier the second time around. Many holes are too close together and houses do surround this course.

The pace of play was about four hours and we only saw Jay the Ranger twice.

This is a fun course to play and we would tee it up here again.

As usual, Marriott did not disappoint - course staff was fantastic!! I will definitely be back and play many times!!

Good course which is enjoyable but not overly challenging. Given the recent Ladies tournament it was in good condition.

I enjoyed everything about playing the Palmer course.

The Palmer course is great. Not too challenging. Interesting layout in the desert. Pace of play was fine, at 4.5 hours we didn't have to wait to hit. Course marshalls and other staff were friendly.

Beautiful desert course in n Scottsdale. Course was in amazing shape, greens ran true and were quick. Track was challenging yet very fair. Visiting from the Midwest and hadn't played for 3 months so wide fairways were appreciated. Great course for the money.

Only negatives ( a stretch!) is that gps yardage was off by 10 plus yards. Ranger apologized and said grounds put the flags in the wrong slot.

Would come back and play any day!!!

I am glad I got the price that I did from Golf Now because I believe the regular price of this course is over inflated and I would never pay it.
