Great Little Course!
Paradise Valley is the perfect course for me, Mr. Mediocre Golfer. I appreciate the shorter distances, the way the course is laid out, and the price! For my money, it can't be beat!
good walking course
It is good course for the money. The grass on the greens is dormant. Good course for short hitters. Better than shoveling snow.
Decent beginner course, nice staff
This was my first time playing at this course. It’s mostly short and quick. It’s not the prettiest course you’ve ever seen by any stretch, but players and staff were nice and it’s playable.
Rough course
Course is just a very basic municipal course. It’s really a beginners course. Will not play it again
Paradise Valley - Not
greens in horrible condition, non-existent fairways, weeds and clovers all over the place, basically almost always hitting off bare ground /mud surfaces
Pace
There was a group of 5 just ahead and we waited at least 10-15 minutes on each hole on front nine, back nine was great!
For Canadians
The course condition was is typical of a course in Canada in the spring time ( Say last week in April in Northwestern Ontario) prior to the heat. The grass of the greens was dormant. Wide fairways and larger greens good for my wife. Will play again as good course to walk.
Course conditions rough, course layout weird
We went the day after it rained so that’s expected that mud and puddles are everywhere. Beyond that, the cart path to the first hole had huge potholes, felt like you were driving through ditches. Tee boxes were decent, fairway was ok at some points but putting greens were terrible and anything right outside the fairway or putting greens were weedy if not straight rock and dirt. Holes are very close so if you over hit a shot, you’ll end up at the next tee box. Very surprising how bad putting greens were. Appeared dead, some had little weeds growing, probably worst I’ve ever played on. Front desk staff was short and curt barely acknowledged us when paying or buying drinks. Driving range was all sand and dirt. Layout is weird too, 12 is behind 17 and almost all the 18 holes have huge 2x2 holes for drainage or something in the middle of the fairways or short of the putting greens for some reason as well. Either way will not be back
Decent course for the money
Overall, it was a good course to play for what we paid. Course seemed crowded which slowed pace of play. Tee boxes were nice and greens are kept in decent shape. Only complaint was that there seemed to be lots of compiled dead tree branches on some holes that make it hard if your ball falls there.
