Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort receives distinctions: Golf Digest placed it among the top 450 U.S. public courses, and it regularly features among Arizona's best 25 golf course. It doesn't hurt that the golf club regularly hosts eye-catching affairs like the Harmon Killebrew Invitational, the Royce Clayton Charity Classic and the Phoenix Suns Scramble. The golf course itself offers lush greens that entwine with the Sonora Desert's terrain, which the golf club says it carefully preserves, and features 18 holes of championship golf in tandem with magnificent scenery and plenty of challenges.

There's a fairly good chance that golfers will catch sight of a quail or coyote out on the Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, and management asks that layers give the critters the right of way. In order to ensure golfers' shots go straight and don't snag in a cactus or chuckwalla, the club offers both individual and group glf lessons. This is also a place to enroll in the Hilton Golf Academy.

That's before the round at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club, though: Afterward, mosey on back to the 19th hole, called the Pointe In Tyme, for the drinkables and eatables.

Pro shop unresponsive

During our round play was so slow

There were 3 groups on the par 3s on the back side

Saw no rangers called pro shop twice and got no answer

Spoke with receptionist she tried 3 times with no answer she told us she could not try again because she was told she was supposed to try no more than two times

This was so annoying

A bit odd

Hard to locate the entrance.

Bag drop and driving range are a long cart ride away

Older carts without GPS

Pace of play was 5 hrs.

Ranger did nothing. Sorry - we have over 200 golfers on the course.

Location location location

Pro shop is not right on the golf course, GPS got it wrong. Nice course, great views. Friendly staff. Our starter was very personable, he was fantastic. My husband says this was his favorite Arizona course we played.

Tremendous course with excellent greens that are receptive to check spin….just make sure you follow the course guide as there’s a lot of doglegs. A fair challenge bus as ever stay below the hole.

Fantastic views, hard holes

LO Mountain is a beautiful , challenging course. Some wide open holes. Some very difficult target holes. All in all, a unique experience in Phoenix golf.

Delightful day on the course

This course has it all. First 6 holes start off fairly simple then then it gets more challenging from then on. All the holes are beautiful, course conditions were great. Fairways were perfect greens were smooth and pretty quick. The back nine holes are all unique.
