Palo Verde Golf Course

Nice coarse to play 9 at. If we were closer to it we'd play there much more often!

The course is in poor conditions . Much of the Staff is doing little repairs nothing else. The cars are always dirty. The course looks like a big yard with little clean up and gardening details missing everywhere. There is very little done with fairways, green kipping and your starts . They added more cars and this added more problems because the roads for cars are not well defined and the cars go everywhere killing the grass areas making it so difficult to keep the course nice. There are practice balls every where on the course because the net need to be repair on the practice area. The practice area is a big piece of open land nothing else, dust everywhere and dry not one penny in design. This area is a big space wasted with potential to do something even at night with proper lighting and design.

i haven't golfed at this course in a decade. I decided to try it out for a quick nine holes in the later morning. I was not expecting anything grand with the course but I have multiple gripes about this experience:

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. and wasn't listening to anything i told her or asked her. I had reserved my tee time on golf now . i arrived 15 min early. I checked in and told her i had a reservation for one with a cart and gave her my name. she then charged me for a person to ride along. I understand this happens at some courses, but I have never experienced this at a City pf Phx golf course. i paid though without complaint. Then she didn't give me a cart key because she said she was putting me with someone else starting 20 min later. She reluctantly gave me a cart key and when I walked outside someone who was starting well after me had taken the cart and was going to the range. so i had to go back in and she said to wait for some people to come in off the ninth hole. No Way! there were a bunch of people waiting to tee off at a later tee time and the tee was currently empty and i did not want to get stacked up behind them. I was able to talk to another gentleman there and get a cart from someone schedule to start later. I would have been happy paying 25 for this course. I would have been ok paying the $36 that i had expected. But i ended up paying nearly $50.00 for this disorganized crap and marginal course.

This little 9 hole was a fun run, greens are immaculate, rest of the course has normal wear and tear but for a quick outing it was superb.

Very easy to schedule online, no waiting once we got there, running on time, employees very friendly & accommodating. We love this 9 hole course!

Greens were in great shape. Fairwaays, however, a little rough in spots.
