About
Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.
The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.
Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

Very short from the forward tees
The course was a little difficult to find so allow extra travel time if it is your first time playing. The fairways had a few burned spots but the greens are in good condition.
Tight course
Poor course routing. The distance between fairways on parallel holes was very tight, which led to a lot of stray balls from adjacent fairways almost hitting us on several occasions. Too much golf course crammed into too little space. Being behind an outing probably made this issue worse. The 11th hole was adjacent to a driving range (for members only) and fairway was covered with range balls. That was too bad, because this was a fun course to play, and well groomed. Sand bunkers were very well maintained. But dodging too many errant shots from adjacent fairways will probably keep me from returning.
Not worth the $’s
Overall, really disappointed. First time to play the course (and last) so wasn’t aware of where the range was. Got out there and found out the range balls had to be picked up at the Clubhouse. Wasted 15 minutes coming back to get range balls. Course was too tight - constantly bombarded by other golfers balls landing in our fairway. Pace of play was excruciating - waited 10-15 minutes on every tee box. Not fun and for the price I expected more.
This course was a great traditional layout.
Can't say enough about how I enjoyed my golf round and the Biltmore. Only criticism is a tight course and errant other golfer shots.
Would play again
Greens are great, course is boring
It’s a great course to come practice at for lower handicaps. Greens were great. Bunkers were great as well. It’s just a muni type layout with premium prices.
Ok but sooo slow
Fun course and easy to play due to wide open space. Unfortunately I left after 12 holes as it took over 3 hours to play up until that point. Too many people on the course and half couldn’t hit the ball off the tee but still played from the tips!
No Marshall in sight to speed things up. Shame.
Tight Course
The Estates Course was in very good shape, tee boxes, fairways & greens all good. But the course layout is very tight, at times I felt nervous about an errant shot coming at me for a neighboring fairway. Very tight.
But the course was in good condition and the restaurant/bar next to clubhouse provided excellent service and cold drinks after the round.
