The Encanto Nine Golf Course lies to the west of Encanto Park, and offers an executive-length golf course perfect for anyone who seeks a fast-and-loose round, with tee times passed out first-come-first-served. About an hour and a half is usually all it takes to play through the golf course.
The Encanto Nine Golf Course sits in the heart of Phoenix, and claims the honor of being the third-oldest golf course in Arizona and features a casual vibe, perhaps due in part to the foliage. Abundant natural palms line the golf course, and between them golfers can catch beautiful glimpses of downtown Phoenix. The course was designed by William P. Bell.

Extremely packed
Course is beautiful, great fairways and greens, and a fun 3-par (some 4) course. Its fun. The problem is they pack so many people and tee times into a day, back to back to back. There were 3 groups of two walkers in front of us, they asked us to play with the group of two in front of us, but that group ended up playing with that group in front of THEM, and even then they ended up waiting at least 5 mins to tee off every hole. We ended up waiting 5-10 mins to tee off each hole, no biggie, but there were two groups behind us waiting as well for us to even tee off. There was even a group of 10 players a couple of holes behind us lol.
Not a huge problem, and we understand it’s a municipal course. Just know if you play here, you will probably be waiting each hole and groups behind you will be waiting for you.

Recommend going out at sunrise. Well maintained grass &
the greens are nice. The colosseum.& fairgrounds are in the background of the 2nd Green. Perfect course for walking 9.

Encanto 9 golf course
Nice course, great little chipping/putting green. Course was challenging, but not crazy. The pace of play was a little quicker than I’d like. I felt rushed at some of the holes. Overall a very nice and fun course, will definitely play it again.
Love Playing Here
I'm not an accomplished golfer, so I prefer easy courses, and I consider this course quite easy; I also appreciate the inexpensive green fees. I feel like I get a lot of value for my money. Additionally, the staff is always very pleasant and helpful.
Course is always in great shape and always a joy to play.

First time playing this course and will be back, we were pleasantly surprised by what the Encanto 9 hole course had to offer and enjoyed our experience. The staff was friendly, pace was good, conditions were great and the merch in the shop was a great value.
