Encanto Nine Golf Course
About
The Encanto Nine Golf Course lies to the west of Encanto Park, and offers an executive-length golf course perfect for anyone who seeks a fast-and-loose round, with tee times passed out first-come-first-served. About an hour and a half is usually all it takes to play through the golf course.
The Encanto Nine Golf Course sits in the heart of Phoenix, and claims the honor of being the third-oldest golf course in Arizona and features a casual vibe, perhaps due in part to the foliage. Abundant natural palms line the golf course, and between them golfers can catch beautiful glimpses of downtown Phoenix. The course was designed by William P. Bell.

Personally, my favorite course
Great for all skill levels, especially myself as a beginner. Open fairways, which makes it easy to not lose any of your shots. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
Great day
The course was in great shape. Greens were perfect. I will definitely play it again and tell my friends about it 😀😀
Slow pace and poor communication
We booked a 9-hole round through GolfNow, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. When we arrived, the staff informed us that our tee time had been pushed back an hour due to a tournament — something no one had notified us about in advance. Since GolfNow bookings are prepaid and non-refundable, we had no choice but to leave and come back later.
Once we finally teed off, the pace of play was extremely slow. The group in front of us took a long time on every hole, and soon the golfers behind us were waiting as well. It really disrupted the flow of the round and made it difficult to enjoy the game.
The course itself was fine for a quick 9, but better communication and pace management would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.
Great for practice
This is a great little course for beginners or for practicing. There’s no water or bunkers to worry about and the conditions are surprisingly good for summer. It’s inexpensive and usually available. Staff have always been super helpful and pleasant. There’s no range or bar, but there is a small practice green.
First Round of 9
The course was great...a little soggy in spots, but easy to navigate. Staff was friendly and the pace of play was perfect.
Quick Hitter!!
I got some time Sunday Afternoon in the middle of summer. Wanted to get in a quick round since it was very hot at 2:30 pm. It was exactly what I wanted was in and out within an hour. I got my fix and was able to get back to the family in no time.
Fun 9 holes
In the Arizona heat, this is a fun fast 9 hole course, friendly staff, course was a bit muddier that I expected, but I guess you have to beat the heat somehow.
Definitely a place to go if you want an affordable but fun quick 9
Love This Course
I am an amateur-level golfer. This course is easy and fun. The staff is always very accommodating and friendly. When I am paired up with other golfers I invariably play with really nice guys which adds to my experience.
