Some consider the Estates course (formerly known as Adobe golf course) at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club to be grand and stately, a prime example of golf course design in the pre-modern era, combining rare beauty with solid trickery. It makes for a round both relaxing and challenging played on lush 50-year-old fairways, with a spacious layout, reminding on of golf as it ought to be played: the glory days when graphite went into pencils and balls were only white.

The Adobe golf course at the Arizona Golf Club measures 6,430 yards from the white tees and comes in at par-71.

Due to the mild Arizona winters, the Adobe Golf Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is open year-round.

The greens had big spots of burn out or something else but it made that part unplayable. Wear a helmet because balls fly at you from every direction while on the green, fairway or tee box. The whole course was not good, they said renovation but for that price go play somewhere. very disappointed. Will never play here again, layout cannot change so you will always have fairways right next to each other. Lastly, resort course, they had two somes all over the course.

Dismal

I guess with the Iowa caucus just ending we are expected to believe everything we are told.

So, this is what I will tell you and you can say it's "fake news"

I've played 'Adobe' a couple dozen times. The 'Estate' course is 'Adobe" with the exception of a couple hundred yards.

Biggest difference is it's in very rough shape, coupled with indifferent grounds crews saturating the tract.

Oh yeah... third world technology GPS that won't show you the hole layout but it will stop your cart if you pull off the path.

Arizona Biltmore has a long and respectable reputation. I am embarrassed by their misrepresentation of the 'improvements' over the 'Abode' course.

Take my review for what it's worth but you will never see me at a MAGA rally.

Poor experience.

Very poor condition - especially for the green fees. Terrific staff but there are MUCH better alternatives.

Tom should be embarrassed

Horrible conditions and an awful layout. Definitely not worth the listed green fees nor the discounted fees available via GolfNow/Teeoff

I thought the same thing, Tom Lehman should be embarrased. I decided to chalk it up to not enough space, but i agree with your review.

Green grass and lots of water

Loved the course. Plush green grass. Beautiful water holes. Very friendly staff. Would definitely do it again.

Not worth the money

Disappointed to say the least. Course layout is awful. Too easy to get greens mixed up. Playing across other holes. No signage. People hitting at you from other fairways. Not worth the winter premium price. If you can get a hot deal it’s not a bad time but for $170 it’s not worth the price. Much better golf around for relatively same price around Scottsdale. Course is crammed in too small of an area. Greens have holes and rough patches. For the money you would expect much better. Construction everywhere. Tiny little halfway house right in the middle of a construction zone. Just too much to complain about for that price.

Not ready for prime time

The Estates course could be good someday just not now

Course needs to grow in and mature

Greens had problems and were very slow

Surprising to see standing water in many places

It beats working

My first time playing the estate course. I found it to be solidly mediocre. The staff was very friendly. The facilities which are in renovation will be nice. It was a remake of the old course which sat in front of the clubhouse. It’s a straightforward series of holes that are out and back out and back from the clubhouse.

There are so many more exciting courses in the Phoenix area. I probably won’t return to this one. The other course at the Biltmore is more fun.

Not that exciting

I played the estates course for the first time this week. I found it to be just OK, not very exciting.

No real elevation changes the greens were not so great, the sand was very good!

Next time I’ll play the other course. I’m excited about the construction they’re doing on the new clubhouse. That will be pretty awesome.

Disappointing

I was excited to play the newly renovated estates course, I was very let down. For the price you can play wildfire, which is far far better. The routing on the back 9 is pretty confusing and crowded. There were times we had groups from 3 different holes in our way on shots. Also, they greens were in very very poor shape. It doesn’t look like they added much to the previous links course but the price skyrocketed. If I play again I would play the Links course since it is cheaper. If you’re looking for something in this price range, there are better options for you. This should be on the same level as orange tree. I would only play again if they greatly reduced the price and fixed up the greens (it’s brand new!!!)

No different than Adobe

All they did was change the hole numbers. Number 6 is thr old number 1. I was expecting a new course instead we got Adobe 2.0

Not ready yet

New layout was interesting if a bit confusing. Some greens were in bad shape but mostly pretty good. Huge disappointment was absolutely no distance markets. Normally not a problem but they don’t have gps service with any of the major apps either. Should not be charging what they charge if they aren’t ready for play…

Course was terrible

I understand they’re doing construction, but charging $200 to play a course in such poor condition was a joke. The new layout has fairways playing opposite each other so oftentimes you had to wait while a golfer from the opposite tee was playing off your fairway. Sand on the greens, mowers and maintenance vehicles everywhere…I would not pay more than $50 to play that course again. To top it off for some reason they were cart path only making play even slower. There’s better alternatives in Phoenix.

New Estates Course -- Pass

I was looking forward to playing this redesign course and was highly disappointed. They were the worst greens I've played in years and that's including muni courses. I played it for a hot rate and would have been very upset if I had paid full price for that! You figure the course was closed for so long that the greens would have been in decent condition at least but was far from it.
