Monument at Troon North Golf Club

I always love playing at Troon North when I come to Scottsdale and this was no different. End of September and the weather was absolutely perfect.

A week before shutting the course down for fall over seeding, greens were a bit wet and spongy compared to usual and practice range was closed.

Absolutely beautiful course played at a great Golf now Hotdeal rate. Very friendly staff, course in great shape for late summer and fantastic vistas. Play it if you get the chance.

Incredible layout, difficult course. Staff is all very friendly and accommodating. Conditions were very disappointing, greens had innumerable ball marks and interfered with putts, fairways had rough spots. Took around 6 hours to play 18 and I nearly missed my flight out of Phoenix. I was between playing at Troon and TPC Stadium and several people recommended Troon. I expected better overall. Conditions might be better later in the year?

Nice layout first time playing this course typical desert course hitting from and too green grass over desert. Carries were acceptable. Rolling layout a lot of elevation change. Course was in transition with over seeding but over all not bad.

Greens rolled well but some were really potted.

Overall not bad would play again.

It was truly shocking the number of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. The greens looked like the far side of the moon. I have been golfing 40+ years and I have never seen anything close to it. I quickly gave up on fixing ball marks other than my own since it seemed pointless. Many of the marks were deep and fresh. Numerous bunkers had footprints that were not raked. I was shocked overall by the lack of regard for the course by the players there. There were some bare patches on the course and around some greens. The tee boxes were small and fairly hacked up. I paid more at Troon than at the 6 previous courses I played and yet it was in by far the worst condition. I was very disappointed. Other courses in the area will et my return business. Troon North won't sadly, even though it is the closest course to me.

Took 5.5 hours to play, greens lightly sanded but still rolled good. Beer is to pricey. If it wasn't so crowded would be good, round was just to slow pace

Best kept course I have seen in Phoenix so far this summer

Pace of play was slow, greens were top-dressed and fairways were far from prestine (Pinnacle Course). This is certainly a beautiful area but did not live up to my expectations for a Troon Golf facility.

This course is always special to play, and presents a tremendous challenge. You must bring your A game when you play here, as there are tight fairways, long carries, and a variety of angles off the tee and for your approach shots. The greens were very well maintained, and super quick. The hot weather clearly had taken a toll on the course as there were many re-sodded areas around greens and fairways. But that didn't take away from the beauty of this course.

The course marshal tried every means to speed them up but no dice.

Towards the end of the round groups farther back quit and drove past

Played here many times. Went out in the afternoon as a single and finished in 3 hrs.

Had an eagle and two birds on the back so best nine ever!

Best aspect: Course never plays the same.

This was my first experience at Troon North and I loved every minute of it. From the time I pulled up to the time the bag was back in my car, the staff was friendly, chatty, and completely awesome. Nice range and putting greens, and a great pro shop facility.

The 90 degree rule was in effect, but other than that minor inconvenience, every single thing about the course was great. The conditions were perfect and never had a bad lie. It's also a little more forgiving off the tee than I was led to believe. Lots of great views and photo ops.

Played with a great couple from the area and although that weren't having a stellar day, we had a blast. Highly recommend Troon North.

I've been to troon three times every time the stuff is more interested in doing what they want then being helpful. The gentleman who helped get my clubs out of my car was very helpful friendly and gave me great directions. The inside staff did not great me waited tell I said I was checking in. They thought thier conversation was more important. The outside service when I went to get my golf clubs useless. Not one of them said a word to me. Ten minutes after we were supposed to tee off we headed to the first tee and finally you guys are ready to go. The only golf course in these city which is supposed to have exceptional service has probably the worst. Thank you for reminding me why I will never recommend or go back.
