Golfer Reviews
I played the Mulligan
Starfire is conveniently located, fairly priced, easy to get a tee time and we’ll kept course. The staff is always friendly and helpful.I play by myself and have always been paired up with nice people.
Unacceptably Sliw Pace of Play
Since it is prime season in Scottsdale, Starfire charges a premium price for a way below acceptable experience. Course is just average to below average & the pace of play is horrifically slow. 2-1/2 hours to play a course that should take 90 minutes. No effort by Starfire to move things along. No rangers Avoid at all costs.
This course makes me want to keep on playing
I am new to golf and I have been taking lessons this winter to improve my skills. Playing a 9 hole course is different than a driving range and can be daunting, but starfire is nicely laid out, with variety of challenges. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Great Warm up course
My wife and booked a golf week in Scottsdale in Feb not having golfed since Sept. This was the perfect course to get warmed up before playing the tougher courses in the area. Eight par 3s, 1 par 4. Just enough challenge to get the feel again. Well done Arnie!
Great golf
I’ve been playing the Mulligan course for several years. It’s great to work in your shirt game!! Everyone is very friendly and courteous and the food is great. The course is in excellent condition - thanks to all the rain.
Not an inexpensive par 3 course, but fun.
Eight par 3s and one par 4 populate this course. Plenty of parking and a very friendly golf staff. I've now played here three times and it is a fast play, slowed only by a few slow seniors. Lots of water hazards and sloped greens make it a challenge. Easy to get to location on Hayden Road in Central Scottsdale. Solid clubhouse dining inside and out with attentive servers and good food. $50 is about $15 too much for a par 3, but it is a good experience.
