Now a Gimmick Course

Before the “renovation” the mulligan 9 was a great executive course. Now one of the holes is on the putting green as a par 2. I am serious. They removed the middle most interesting holes to expand the main course. Range bucket is a insane $35 for a large bucket. I live 10 min away and will not play here again. Mayne $40 for playing it twice but just the short wedge 8 holes? nope. The staff are great and not their fault.

Six Shooter vs Mulligan 9

The updates made have transformed an unremarkable executive course into something worth the visit on its own.

Opportunities for fun and fulfilling shots exist for players of all ages and skill levels on this layout.

Finally having a quality public short course in this part of the valley is wonderful.

Horrible par 3 course update

They recently got bought out, and some improvements were made to the course, but the par 3 course was made even smaller. The previous holes 5-9 are now all compressed into the previous 1-4 holes. So you basically have 9 holes alll crammed in the previous 4 holes of the 9 hole. I’ve golfed this course over 50 times, so you think I’d be excited for a new layout. But nope, they really don’t care about the par 3 course.

Work in progress

So many tee boxes were moved and many greens were of shorter yardages than usual. My favorite hole (# 8) was not even in use. Many tee boxes were full of divots. I was very disappointed, as I had played this course in the past two years and found it was pretty fun.

Bad course

It’s always backed up. I’ve been multiple times and there’s always 2-3 carts waiting.

Under construction

I realize that the course is a ‘work in progress’ however the holes need to show temporary yardage as well. The course isn’t really ready for play but so far it looks like a nice change.

Shephard Review

We were warned of work on 3 tees. We found the fairways and tees u day construction on almost every hole. #8 was closed completely so we only got to play 8 holes total. Overall very disappointing

In transition

This course is currently being renovated so the experience could be different day to day. It’s great if you’re working on your 80 yard approach shots and the greens are well kept. Plus the new practice area and driving range look really nice. Range is still in the works but they’ve made a lot of progress. The course used to have a 350+ yard par 4 but has been converted to 3 (hopefully temporary) holes. Personal take is the experience wasn’t worth $60 bucks but if you could get in under $40, it’s a pretty quick round (under an hour and a half).

Confusing layout to start

So it was a gorgeous day, condition of the greens was really good but the layout and mapping was really confusing to start off and once we got going we knew where we were going. It was not a challenging course which was just great for the crew I was with as we are beginners so it was perfect for us. They had the extra large holes as well as regulation size and I think people in the group thought that was fun. I liked that there was an option. I think better signage despite it possibly being temporarily under construction would be a good thing with some maps..

Par 3 , 9 hole course

The first 5 permanent holes are currently under construction. Signage to 1st hole could use some additional help. Confused to 1st tee box. Otherwise balance of course was good (besides the ongoing construction. Can't wait to see the finished product. Your staff members are very friendly and helpful.

Construction can be confusng

I’d say if you’re new to golf, or have a larger group this would be a great little course. The layout can be very confusing and signage isn’t the clearest. Since it’s a smaller course (landmass wise) it’s tight and harder to tell which flag is for which hole.. once we got the hang of it, we were ok. The condition of the course and greens were good!

Under construction

The short 9 hole Mulligan was under construction both times I played. A little hard to follow the course, and my GPS didn't work. I still enjoyed the course and will play it again. Quick round, not the hardest but fun! 🤩

Avoid at all costs

Visiting Arizona. Rented clubs and starter loaded then on cart. They fell off at the first hole and the driver snapped. They would not have a conversation or accept responsibility. Charged me $95 after o left. Now the course all ripped up under construction. 2 flags in every hole. Holes misnamed. Sign say 4th hole and another says hole 2. The staff is arrogant and no customer skills. Avoid this course

Wait

Course is being updated so they made three holes out of two. Distances were very short and not accurate on temp holes. Will see how it is when they are done.
