Starfire Golf Club - The King Course

Overall, the course was pretty good crowded week with the waste management open so everybody jacked their rates it seems. There are better courses in the Scottsdale area.

The course charges too much and now added a 4% water fee! That’s ridiculous!!!

This was a nice, straightforward course that was significantly cheaper than others in the Scottsdale area. We had no pace of play issues until the last four holes or so, so still finished in under four hours. Not an immaculate course - tee boxes a little chewed up, for example, but was definitely enjoyable. Surprisingly, a lot of water to contend with - for less experienced golfers, that could add to the frustration level.

Course was in good shape. Teed off at 220 and was able to complete 18 in 4 hours. Will play again.

Great course I play it a lot but I don't like the fact that they have raised the prices everywhere in Phoenix. They're taking advantage of all the bachelor parties that come to Scottsdale that go and play golf. What they're doing is hurting the residents of Phoenix by charging us more money to play. I've reported this to the the governor, and Consumer Affairs department. This is blatant price gouging and needs to be dealt with

More than half of the tee boxes were filled with sand and we couldn’t stick a tee in the grass. Tee boxes were beat up! Hot dogs were not good and buns fell apart

Enjoyed the round. As a first timer there I thought the signage to the First and 10th hole could be much better. Fairways were fine but tee box and greens were rock hard. Had to pound tee in and greens didn’t hold wedge shots. No ball marks, so no repairs needed 😁. Noticed there’s a 4% water fee. So I’d suggest also watering tee boxes and greens.

Tee boxes were very rough and hard, while greens ran well. Some fairways were thin.

always enjoy the golf course but for the second time we had a couple of twosomes behind us

It jus makes it uncomfortable when you seemed pushed because they are right behind you. we played in 4 hours which a good clip but having someone come close to hitting into you a number of times because they are frustrated is annoying to a group especially for the ladies. It does not make sense to let them through then we are holding up the next group too and slows us up

also, no beverage cart which I thought the club had

Great day despite the wind and chill. Course was in great shape!
