Wonderful afternoon at Starfire
We really enjoyed our Starfire experience on December 3, 2024. Course was in excellent condition and the staff were fantastic. Only drawback was pace of play, which was slow due to a tournament on the course ahead of us.
Stayed for the end of happy hour on the patio and service was excellent there too!
A very nice golf course. Plenty of water holes but not too difficult. The fairways were tight, the rough was a little high, and the greens were about a 10 on the Stimp meter.

Great Value
On vacation with my Wife and played some local Scottsdale courses. Orange Tree had terrible greens, Silverado was overpriced with muddy fairways… McCormick Ranch was good. But the best was Starfire. Great shape !
Great staff, good pace of play and good value.
Would play that again in a heartbeat.

Not much variety
The course is pretty tight with houses (on many holes) lined on both sides. Greens were pretty good but there are some rough patches in the fairways

I loved playing this course. Beautiful layout and landscaping. Not a lot margin for error! Stay on the fairway! I’ll come back!

Starffire
I like course layout but the over seeded grass was thin and a little bare in many spots. Also mostly soft mud under the thin grass which didn’t allow for crisp iron shots.

Welcoming staff and a great track to play!
We appreciated being able to tee off a little early as a twosome, and were able to golf in well under 4 hours. Everyone, from the cart staff to the course assistants, treated us with hospitality, respect and humor!

We were paired with a local dad/son team who were fabulous partners…
My complaint is that every single tee box was very hard turf - I had to almost pre drill a hole to insert my tee - very frustrating!
