Editor's Note: Course closed in 2018. See The Phoenician Golf Club listing.

The Desert/Oasis Course was the Phoenician's first 18 holes, which were later joined by the Canyon nine. The aptly named course may have desert surroundings but its numerous palm trees and blooming flowers will make golfers feel as though they've been transported to a tropical destination. Although all three golf courses cover only 150 acres, none of them feel cramped. Any lack of length is quickly forgotten after playing the creative challenges of the layout. The golf course offers plenty of variety that make it appealing to low and high handicappers alike. Dramatic elevation changes characterize the Desert nine, providing the breathtaking views that have led it to be the most requested course. The Oasis nine is memorable as well with water coming into play on six holes and a unique moat of sand on the par-4 finishing hole.

Over priced like all courses in Scottsdale

Golf used to be affordable for the residents of Arizona not So Much Anymore it's gotten out of hand and I believe these golf courses are price gouging and taking advantage of the bachelor parties that come to town where the men want to play golf and will pay those prices.

Always Enjoyable

Course is in great shape as always. Over seeding was well done. Very good shape. Love everything about this course especially the views on the back nine. Front nine is a better layout as the back nine feels a bit cramped and feels like you are in a firing range sometimes with the close proximity of the holes. Overall loved it and will be back.

My Favorite Course Yet

The Phoenician Golf Club is an absolute gem. The course is built into the base and side of a smaller mountain, which gives it a really unique feel. The tight fairways make you think about every shot, but the elevation changes keep it exciting and fun. It's challenging without being frustrating, which is a great balance.

One of the best parts is the view. As you work your way through the round, you’ll find yourself stopping to take in the stunning valley below—it’s just incredible. It’s not something you see on every course, and it really sets this place apart.

The course itself is in fantastic condition. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the fairways and greens. Everything about the experience, from the layout to the clubhouse amenities, feels top-notch.

I’d gladly come back and play here again. It’s the kind of course that sticks with you, not just for the challenge but for the scenery and overall vibe. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it.

Excellent Golf Course. Beautiful setting. Weather was perfect which made everything even better. My only beef was it was “ Cart Path Only” because of recent over seeding. That slows down play and the greens fee was still top dollar. But I would play there again.

Nice course

Nice fun well maintained course. Unfortunately I came after overseeding and it was cart path only. Check before you book.

Amazing views!

we went in late sept. 24. it was 105. that was the worst of it though. being right at the base of camelback you eventually work your way up high enough to see the valley south towards Phoenix. I can only imagine what it looks like at night. great course. makes you think about your tee shot instead of just pulling the driver every hole. great bar too. for $150.00 it's a deal. (almost every course worth playing down there is $150.00 or more)
