About
The Talking Stick Golf Club features two golf courses designed by the architecture team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, who created distinct golf courses with enough choices to accommodate all levels of golfers. The golf club sits on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community reservation, a spot that provides the serenity necessary to endure a testing day of golf.

The second hole is a par 5 that measures 552 yards from the Black tee and is one of two long holes, with the 17th being a par 5 that plays to 582 yards from the Black tees.
The 18th hole on the O'odham Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club is shorter, relatively speaking, a par 4 that measures 471 yards from the Black tees.

Great course. Annoying In-Cart Ads
It's been a while since I played the North Course and shot my best round ever so I had a good day. However, the ads that constantly play on the golf cart GPS unit were extremely distracting and annoying because you can't completely turn the volume down or turn the ads off. I come to the course to hear nature and talk with my friends while trying to improve my game. Otherwise, this is a great course for beginners as it's fairly flat and open. Lower handicaps can also play it long and get strategic.
Arizona heat
Golf course was great , Staff was awesome pace of play was good. Busy but still played in @ 4 hrs. Great views and wildlife was amazing too see.
Overall a great course
The course is well taken care of. The fairways are wide open and the greens are challenging. However, I was walking with a hand cart and it was not walker friendly. No walkways off of the tee boxes.
Great conditions and fun.
Talking Stick (North)is a fun course. I would highly recommend playing if you have the opportunity.
Hot day
It was 107 when we were out there. that's just too hot. draining. wide fairways the golds played 6500 yards even in AZ. that's the very end of my 65 year old golf game. out of the 3 rounds in Az. on this trip I finally started to figure out the "special" turf around the greens that stop your club on contact. got a good deal on golf pass at 80 bucks so very much worth it. although I played Pippish in April for 150 and thought that was still a deal.
Great course!
The only 2 bummers- Restaurant closed at 3pm and we were all ready for a quick bite after playing the first 9. Also- practice greens and driving range were both closed for seeding. The communication of these 2 things could have been better. We were surprised by both.
107 degrees
we played on a 107 degree day. that was our mistake. they had pippish closed down along with the driving range and putting green. that stuff happens in Az. in Sept. 6500 yards was long for us but the fairways are wide and playable despite the length. got a great deal on golf now. would definitely play again.
Not a bad option
I wouldn't go out of my way for Talking Stick but if you are in the area, it's worth playing.
The Stick
Great course but the range and practice putt area were both closed. Totally unacceptable for the price
