Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
About
The Talking Stick Golf Club, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, offers two uniquely different courses that each offer many options according to your playing skill. The Piipaash course (previously known as South at Talking Stick Golf Club), with its tree-lined fairways and raised greens defended at the sides offers a more straightforward style of play than the O'odham Course (formerly known as North at Talking Stick Golf Club).
A round of golf on the Piipaash Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 405 yards from the Black tees. Three long par-5 holes ensures that power golfers will get their kicks, with the fifth hole coming in at 516 yards, the 1fourth measuring 541 and the 16th playing to 548. The round of golf concludes on a relatively shorter par 4 that measures 323 yards.
After a round of golf on the North Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club, head back to the Wildhorse Grille for drinks and a bite to eat.

Golfer Reviews
Not worth the price
This course is grossly overpriced! As a local, paying in excess of $105 for a round here is idiotic. The course is just OK, many others in Phoenix are much better and those that are a littlest charge a lot less than this course does. I think they’re overpriced to get the visitors money and to give the snowbirds a sense of a golf resort when in fact the course is really only mediocre.
A little slow
I enjoyed the course. Easy layout but greens can run a little fast. The only problem we had was that we waited on every hole. The group in front of us waited every hole as well. I would definitely play here again. Just need someone to push the slow players.
No driving range
Whoever is in charge of management should be fired. No driving range from 1 to 3. Doesn't have anything about this at time of booking and nothing was said when we checked in. Very stupid time to close and this just shows what is good for Management goes with no thought about your customers. There was 4 of us and none of us will be booking here again. We will all be passing this on. Terrible customer service
Great value for a Scottsdale course on TeeOff
Great course and value. Course was in very good shape for November. Only disappointment is their policy for closing the range between 1:00-3:00 pm, especially when you have a 2:00pm tee time.
Thank you!
It’s great to golf where you feel appreciated. From the golf shop, to starter, to beverage cart, to halfway house, to cart return, everyone was warm and welcoming! The course was in nice shape too! Well done!
Fast greens
Play was slow they shouldn't let elderly people on the course and the greens were very fast one pin placement should be considered illegal other than that great time
Great course
Really enjoyed the round with my girlfriend. All around ole experience and the course was in amazing shape and the staff was top notch.
Overseeding excuse
Very disappointed the entire course was cart path only due to “overseeding”. You need a cart based on the layout, this rule made pace of play very slow. I truly don’t understand how a cart is any worse than me stepping all over the seedlings? Course was dry and no need for cart path only. Was paired up with a couple drunks who cared more about the cart girl than the game but not necessarily the fault of the course and pace of play was so slow due to their policy that drinking was almost necessary to pass the time. Starter was kind of a tool about it too so just relax and let us enjoy the game
Loved this course!
The only bad thing I have to say about this course is that it was CPO the day we played it! Talking Stick is great and always a joy to play when we're in the area (if you can find it at the right price)! Will definitely play here again!
Cartpath only
On GolfPass, it did not refer to the cartpath only rule due to over seeding. Was informed going to arrived at golf course, didn’t wanna walk.
No carts off pathways
I would think a discount is in order when you can’t drive on the course due to reseeding that slows play way down. Not allowing us to finish the round. 90 degree rule would be easy to enforce and speed up play.
Scottsdale Trip
My wife had a conference so I was the plus one and picked Talking Stick. The GolfNow rate helped but knew it would be tough to get 18 in starting at 2:51pm. I arrived super early and used the range and putting green, both very nice. I spoke with Bob the Starter to let him know I was onsite and early. He paired me with a regular, Al, who was awesome and we went off the back. The local knowledge helped! We waited a minute or two at each whole so not too bad. Al left after nine and I joined a new twosome at 4pm. The pace of play showed dramatically and I played the last two holes in the dark. Never saw a Marshall. The course and greens were in great shape. Only downside was it was cart path only the entire way because they are still over seeding. I paid $75 I believe and it is worth it if you get 18 holes in. I shot a 89 and was overall happy with the experience. There are a ton of golf course choices but I would play this again!
