Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West

Waited on every hole. There was a Marshall out and about. The coursed seemed to have too many players on it.

Greens were in good shape. Bunkers needed work, very hard and crusty.

We had a good day and will be back.

The greens were ok but the rest of the course was in horrible condition. I’ve played a few other Sun City West courses recently and gave them all a pretty big thumbs up. Hillcrest should be an embarrassment to Sun City West. For $62 some will say it’s inexpensive but I feel I overpaid by $40. Visually I felt I was playing golf in a landfill with some patches of green.

The grass is green from tee to green, dried out outside of the rough. We hadn’t played here for a number of years but had heard it was getting revitalized: true, and the layout is still fun and challenging. Staff was friendly and the rate was decent so we booked another round for 48 hours later. Have you seen the weather around the rest of the country?? Get yet butt out there anywhere!

Keep the ball up the middle and fairway, you are on green grass the entire round. Greens were in good shape. Sand traps were hard as the cart path. Did not give at all when you walked into them. Pace of play was quite good. Picked this course because it was affordable and being our first round for 2025, I didn't want to hit the more expensive ones. Would I go back? No. Has some challenging holes. Pretty easy track to play. Hard to lose a ball here. Biggest hazard is a few ponds. You have to hit an errant shot that goes haywire to lose a ball here. Good course for the higher handicap players.

Fairway ok but bad next to it, means you should have perfect control of your balls otherwise you have to play from waste areas.

Really like the layout, greens are in excellent condition, tee boxes are good. Fun course to play. The staff members are very friendly.

As long as you were on the green grass things were great. Unfortunately, there were a lot of areas off the fairway that were just dirt with no grass at all.

This was our fourth time golfing this course. Staff is friendly. Course is fairly easy. Course is in good shape. Weather was cold and staring to sprinkle.

The greens were consistent. Too much bird poop on a few of the green…putting was difficult at best.

Fairways were good too! Sand traps still need work.

Played with 2 great guys the 4 some in front were very slow wouldn't let us play through. Nice course I favorite place to play. Great staff

Greens are some of the best I've played in awhile. Rest of the course is just ok.

This is possibly the worst course I've ever played in Arizona. They should all be wearing masks because it feels like I was robbed....

What a beautiful course! They have water in Arizona !!! My Daughter and I played with two Men that had been friends for over 50 years. Both served our great Country! Pace of play was great . Staff were very kind . We lost a chipper. ( left it on hole 9 ) called the club house .. by the next hole it was delivered to us !

Was our first round of 2025, having played here many times before enjoyed the course. Some tee boxes were better than others, anything off the fairway can be very thin and dry and the sand traps were very hard and dry. Our pace was good getting done in 4 hours, with a little waiting on several holes.
