Coyote Lakes Golf Club
About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Nice Sunset Shot Photo submitted by shortyofak on 03/19/2014
Back 9 was beautiful
The front 9 was not in the best of shape and for the cost we were disappointed. But the back 9 made up for it. It was beautiful and in great shape.
The pace of play was really bad. I don’t know why but we waited every hole.
Excellent course
We really enjoyed this course! Course condition and pace of play were great considering it was Sunday during snowbird season. The food was good and the beverage cart girl was around 3-4 times during the round. She was very hot too! :). For the money this place is hard to beat. The only negative was the short driving range with plastic practice balls.
Fun course
The course was in good shape. It's a short course but it has many challenges to make up for It's length. Definitely would play it again.
Looking Good
The course continues to show a good level of maintenance even though it is seeing heavy play. Priced at the level that doesn’t discourage the regular golfer, many are turning to this course when other courses are pricing over 3 figures. Though the course is generally in good shape, the tee boxes were suffering from the heavy traffic. All in all, the course is an affordable track with a good level of play.
Course was in good shape, round took 4:45hrs, driving range has foam balls
Enjoyed the round today and the course was in great shape but it took nearly 5hrs to play a 6200 yard course….. The ranger was out but was not enforcing pace of place at all. The driving range also only has foam balls which are pretty terrible to warm up with. Putting and chipping areas were nice and the staff were friendly enough.
Pace
Pace of play is horrible, 3 holes in an hour. 4 groups on one hole, don’t know how this happens. Called club house to get a marshal out but he didn’t do anything.
Great Course!
I’ve golfed Coyote Lakes several times and this course was in the best shape I can ever recall. Love the layout and the employees were all very friendly.
I highly recommend playing at Coyote Lakes
Great Track
Had a good time playing Coyote Lakes Price was right about 35 minutes drive from where we were staying in Scottsdale but worth the drive. The course is narrow so keep tee shots down the middle. Was busy but seemed to flow fairly well just a couple jam ups on the par 3s. And we even had a young healthy Coyote cross our fairway while playing. Will play again next year if the rate is good again.
Coyote Lakes Golf Club
The course was in excellent condition. Very picturesque. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend playing this course.
Beautiful day for golf.
Pace of play was a little slow. Greens were in great condition. Fairways were in good condition, but tee boxes were in need of improvement.
Noice!
We came over from Denver for the WM and got in a few rounds while we were here. This course was the best in this price range.
Really cool track for this price, excellent conditions, friendly staff…
Only downside is the lack of driving range, it was too small and they use plastic balls. We will be back again! Totally recommend this course.
Very nice time
Excellent time at this course, from the moment you enter enter the pro shop to check in there’s nothing but friendly staff when you let them know is your first time playing this course, I will be back from now on , thank you and see you soon
Cotyote Lakes
Course was in very good winter condition. This is not a course for beginners or high handicappers. You WILL loose lots of balls and become frustrated if you are this level of golfer. We only played 9 holes as the pace of play was very slow, 2 1/2 hours for 9 holes. Even though there was a Marshal, he did nothing to speed up the pace of pllay.
Course was in good shape. Lots of slope in the fairways but it is in front of you. Overall for the price it was well worth it. Staff was very friendly. Dont pay for the range bucket, they are plastic balls, i was told up front but i had never hit them before so i gave it a chance, lol.
Nice course for average golfers
I would recommend this course for the average golfer for the following reasons: condition and maintenance of the course, friendly staff, moderately challenging, course length and price.
Course worth playing in Phoenix
This course is worth playing - especially for the average golfer. The course is well maintained. The lay out is through a community of home like but is little more interesting then many in Phoenix. The green were in very good condition. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The pace of play was slow but this could be because so many tourist are here in the area for the Waste Management Open.
I would recommend playing this course.
Slow pkay
First time playing here. Price was fine! 2-3 gtmrouos in front of our group very slow. Had to wait on every hole. First 3-4 holes had 3-4 groups on each hole. We started at 2:30 and finished 14 holes. Finished 14 holes at 6 pm
Great value course - nice layout and well conditioned
One of our favorite Phoenix-area courses, probably the best value for price. In an area where you definitely get what you pay for….. if you want to play a better course, you’ll pay a LOT more money, and if you try to go cheaper you be greatly disappointed in course quality. Coyote Lakes hits the sweet spot! Has been in good condition every time we’ve played it, from tee to green. A nice variety of hole layouts and elevation changes. Pace of p,at tends to be better than most, holding right around four hours or just under. All staff we’ve had contact with have been friendly and helpful!
