Slow play w/walkers
Course conditions, layout, and staff are great. The only problem is the course allows walkers on the busy days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday which creates an awful situation with slow play. There are no rangers to monitor the slow play either.
Great for the average golfer
I love this course --- it's in good condition and it's a good challenge for the average golfer as it requires some course management. It will reward you for thinking about your show and playing smart.
great day
course was in great shape and the staff friendly. The bunkers need some attention, not enough sand.
great day of golf
had an afternoon tee tine at Del Urich and found the course in great shape and surprisingly not crowded. had a very fun day.
the course is very very good
I have been playing this course for the last ten years, and it is getting better by the day, OB Sports are doing a bang up job of getting these courses up to par.
Great Course; Terrible Bunkers
I liked everything except the bunkers. There was either no sand or it was like concrete.
needs maintennce
fairways ok, greens good. bunkers were terrible hard sand full of rocks
great layout
Course was in great shape with the greens being the best feature
Nice public course
Nice layout with well designed green complexes and interesting holes. Turf was in nice condition and greens rolled pretty well.
Day at Dell Urich
I always enjoy playing this course. The greens and fairways were good. I played with 3 local fellows very enjoyable. There was a 2.5 hr frost delay but the staff managed to get me out only a .5 hr after my original tee time other wise I wouldn't have been able to play. So Thanks to the staff.

Exploring the Municipal Courses
Typical Municipal experience with a large crowd, slow play, and wide variance of skill level players. Course was in fair condition with the fairways in a somewhat dormant state and the greens at a moderate speed with some slope and unrepaired pitch marks. I used a cart because it came with my reservation, but I wish that I had walked as the course looked like a great walking course. Highlight of the day was one of my playing partners hit a hole in one on 17, but unfortunately it was for par as he dunked his first one in the pond. Reminded me of Zach Johnson's par a couple of years ago from the drop zone, only my partner choose to tee it up again from the same spot. Smart choice; the rest of us were in and around the green from the tee and all ended up with a bogey. Nice shot Larry!
Course is in great shape.
The course is in great shape and the staff are all great. We will be going back soon.
This course made me happy.
This course is very valued for the money.
I like this course very much. It was fantastic.
good city couse
We felt very welcome by the staff and the course was in good shape. Nice pace of play and the pins and tee locations made the course challenging at times and interesting.
Dell Urich again
DU is one our favorite city courses to play. Conditions are good even with the dry weather of the SW. Tee boxes and fairways are well maintained. Greens are very fast but true.
Pace of play was slow but it is nice to play a leisurely game once in a while without feeling like you have to run from one shot to another.
central location
This location has two 18 hole courses. Dell Urich and Randolph, both Tucson city owned courses. Last year the city contracted out a private company to run and manage the facility and since then the course has improved dramatically since the take over. Both courses are fun to play.
Nice course in great condition
Had a great time, staff was friendly and so were the other golfers

nice, tucson puts the average middle class midwestern golf in its city center. one can kind of forget theyre in the desert! no reason to leave st louis to play here!
Some Disappointments
The course if fine. Go play it. However, Randolph/Del Urich held a Veterans Appreciation Day on 11-11 offering $2 burgers and $2 draft beer. They closed the kitchen at 4PM thereby locking out anyone starting play after 12 noon. The beer was only for Lite beer. Also, GolfNow doubles the fees they charge on regular bookings on their Hot Deals making that not such a Hot Deal. All in all the day was disappointing.
