city course
It seems the green fees are going up at the city courses but they are in better condition than they have been in the past. The rough was short, the greens were reasonable speed, and the surrounds and fairways were in good shape. They had some challenging pin placements, which was nice to see. Our 4 some finished in under four hours.
An extremely playable golf course
New OB Sports Management has made a tremendous impact at the facility. Carts with GPS system were a nice surprise for a municipal golf course. Course conditions were much improved making this a real deal with overall satisfaction for tees, fairways and greens.
a nice place to play
I enjoy the dell urich courseonly a this facility, the layout is interesting for me, I took my friends and they said it as the best of all te munis in tucson.
The need more direction signs to some tee boxes as t was not clar to my fiends as to which way to go sometimes.
A great day.

always a good track
very nice course when you can get the discount greens a little bumpy but no worse than the more expensive courses i think the best city course. didnt lose a ball either.
Great greens
Course was in great shape. Lots of fun. Nice track with a good look and feel.
Good Conditions
Course is in great shape. Greens and fairways are very the best I've played here.
greatly improved
It is amazing how much the Dell Urich course has been improved. The fairways are completely green with good lies.. The greens are fast and roll true. The rough is dormant grass, which is tough to play out of and a fair penalty for those who can't keep it on the fairway. Congratulations to the city of Tucson for doing such a terrific upgrade to their course.
Good To be back
Bravo for OB Sports. Amazing what can happen when a course is turned over to private management. The course is in great shape, the staff upbeat & the Tucson day, clear as a bell & 70 degrees. Picture book mountain & course views. The only negative was 'no marshal to keep the players moving. Not a biggie since it gave us time to chat with two player, one from Toronto & the other from Vail.
Dell Urich
Good course for the money you pay. Course is in good shape especially the greens. GPS on carts now.
Good city facility
Every experience at either course is slow pace of play. We quit after nine. Also, it always seems too wet and the results are a lot of mud-like lies that are tight.
I have played a lot of golf in all parts of the country and am a member of a club in my primary home state. It appears to me that they overwater, or don't distribute properly, resulting in all the mattes grass, mud lies.
The course is in great shape
A great course and very playable . The greens roll well and the over seeded fairways give definition to the course .
odd tee yardages
1st of all, its a city course but in great shape. GPS on the carts was helpful....until the batteries died after 10 holes. Whitetees seemed too short, tips were 6400'...BUT par 70. There are a big handful of par 4s that from the tips require 4 of the best shots you'll ever hit in your life on each hole. Kinda took some of the fun away for me. May play it again ,but from the whites, but then again the whites seem too short. Greens rolled well for a ciy course, lots of mature trees, pretty middle of town setting.
Dell Urich coming to life
I can remember how well conditioned Dell Urich was when the LPGA played a tour stop there. Not since the LPGA left have I seen it as close to that playing condition as I saw it on Dec. 6, 2014. it's not quite as manicured as it can be, but it's getting there. Kudos to the new management company which clearly understands what their product is. Great service, a nicely conditioned course, and a staff who really appreciates your patronage!
Delk Urich
Course in very good condition. GPS quit after 10 holes. Never did work in other cart.
The course is in GREAT SHAPE !
I hadn't played Dell Urich for about 4 years and was very pleasantly surprised. The course is in wonderful shape and played well. We finishe 18 holes in just under 3 1/2 hours. I will definitely be back !
Great all around golf course.
I am so used to playing desert courses in Arizona, where some strokes are taken off hard dirt that kills your clubs. Very pleased that if you do hit a bad drive or iron you are still hitting off grass. Not having to look for my ball in the desert or where it bounded to off the hard ground speeded up play and great for my attitude on the course. I am from Green Valley but will be playing in Tucson and this course especially. Can't wait to play Randolph north.
nice course, very slow play
I have not played a city course for a few years and was very pleased with the course conditions and staff. one of the reasons I quit playing city courses was pace of play and it seems that has not changed. our round took just over 5 hours. when you wait on every tee box, sometimes for 2 groups, it takes a lot of the pleasure out of the round. I hope ob sports does something about keeping the round at 4 1/2 hours at least
Very good course in central Tucson
This is a very nice munie in central Tucson. Golf Now deal was very good a nd the course was a pleasure to play.
