About
Situated between the Catalina and Rincon Mountains, Forty Niner Country Club runs alongside a wooded riverbed. The golf course features fairways lined with mesquites, giant cottonwoods, eucalyptus trees, and weeping willows. Desert shrubbery also lines the fairways. The course has a traditional layout that sprawls across gently rolling terrain. It's a nice walkable golf course but it's not easy. Rather than distance, this course requires accurate shot placement and careful strategy in order to maneuver the tricky doglegs and subtly elevated greens. The most difficult hole on the course comes early on. The par-4 fifth is an only seemingly narrow hole but the double-tiered green has a dramatic slope right in the center. Forty Niner Country Club finishes with a par 3 that requires a carry over water. If played smartly, it offers a great birdie opportunity.

Poor beverage service
Only saw the beverage cart once all day. That was by the first green. I was not very happy
Great course
We had a great day, course was in great shape, the pace of play was very pleasant.
Kenny is a real sweetheart!
Another Enjoyable Day at 49R
From the warm welcome from Kenny, the nicest welcomer in Tucson, until the returning of the golf cart, it was a wonderful day of golf. The drink cart lady was friendly and patient and the young man in the clubhouse was kind and efficient. The course is a real challenge with no easy holes. The back stretch of 15, 16, 17 is particularly challenging as bodies start to tire. It's where the roadwork pays off. Always fun to play.
Great course
This is a wonderful course for a beginner to intermediate golfer. Also, was glad to see refreshment cart more than once . A good experience all around 🙂.

First time playing this course this year.
Course is in good condition and staff is friendly.
Fast greens
Took a little getting used to the hard, fast greens! Had to play bump and run golf because greens would not hold a full shot from the fairway. Great layout, very good “risk/reward holes on the course. Have played here in the past and will play again!!

Course in much better condition this year carts are excellent staff very friendly restaurant is top-notch with excellent staff peso play better than most will play again
