An Insult to the Consumer
This course was an absolute joke. A cow pasture with painted fairways. Nothing but dead grass except around the clubhouse. How they could charge a fee with a straight face for playing this abomination is beyond me. This used to be a decent course. What possible excuse could they have for letting this course deteriorate this way. This is the biggest ripoff I've suffered in my 40 years playing golf.
I would not recommend until the course conditions improve.
Randolph can be a nice course to play
Randolph can be a nice course to play. However, it appears that things have be neglected. The course was not in good shape. The staff is always pleasant. The pace of play was very good.
MARSHALS???
3.45 hrs. to play 15 holes!!! Didn't play the last 3 holes because there was 2 fivesomes & 6 foursomes in front of me and it was already 6pm!!! Great track with lots of history. My uncle was the pro there years back. Overall review would be higher but pace of play knocked it down. Spoke with attendant in pro shop after & all I got was a bunch of excuses. Where are the MARSHALS???
No grass
I have played Randolph many times, but this time was just ridiculous! There is very little grass on the tee boxes, the fairways are painted green to cover up the disaster we would call a fairway. Literally a hard pan and in some places dirt in the middle of the fairway. They clearly forgot to overseed for the winter. It was just overall sad to have such a bad experience at one of my favorite places to play. Don’t waste your money at Randolph, go play el Rio or silverbell.
1st time in a while
Hadn't played here in several years. Both the fairways and greens need a little work, but conditions did not bother me. The greens were fast and smooth. Will play again!
POOR POOR
They had painted the fairways they were never over seeded. They have lost the greens. It was as hard as a rock. I have been playing there for 25 years. This as bad as I have seen it. Would not play there again until the course is in better shape. I can not believe they painted the fairways. When you drive by it looks like it is in great shape. When you play it is so hard you can not take a divot. I have been at put put courses with better fake grass than they have for greens. So so sad..
