Golfer Reviews
Run Of The Mill Municipal Course
We showed 45 minutes before our tee time. The Pro Shop Cashier checked us in and assigned a cart never telling us start times were delayed for a two hour frost delay. I am guessing the Pro Shop staff really can’t be too friendly because it appears they are under staffed. Some of the fairways are very narrow. The bunkers are like hitting out off of hard pan with large rocks and gravel. Nothing a person would think of as sand. Tee, and greens in good shape. No course marshal.
Nice desert course
Great day in Tucson. Course was in good shape and I enjoyed the round playing with three gentlemen from the cold country of Duluth. Played the round in 3 1/2 hours, a record for me in Tucson.
Great day with my son
The course is in wonderful shape. Weather was in the 70’s and my son was home from overseas couldn’t ask for a better day! Thanks to your groundskeeper, keep up the good work!
tree perfect
interesting layoutjust get ball in fairways and hit greens like we already knew this aspect of scoring. . bunker could use some care alittle crusty.
So-So Course
Meh! Tees, fairways and greens in good condition. Not a particularly interesting layout. Many much nicer courses around Tucson.
Great Proshop Staff, Course in GREAT shape!
One of the best public golf courses in all of Tucson. Well maintained, nice greens, and Brian in the pro shop is a gem! Very good customer service! Great value. I play here twice per month.
Slow play
The course did not have a marshall to make sure the pace of play was acceptable. I stopped playing after 13 holes. Dropped the cart off, employee asked how it went. I told him I stopped playing because our group was waiting on every shot. He said he had not had a cart returned for over 30 minutes. I told the pro shop and all he asked was who was holding up play. That should be answered bythe marshall. I will not be playimg crooked tree again.
Great course
Great value for price paid.
Con:
-we saw beverage cart being loaded at clubhouse, never saw on course
-had to walk clubs through club house to get to carts; bag drop was inaccessible with cart
Great Value
The course was in pretty good condition considering they just finished overseeing not long ago. The staff is always friendly and the greens in really good condition.
Great course recovery from the overseeding
It is apparent our wet fall really helped this course. The greens are just coming out of overseeding so are still a little slow but in great shape. Fareways were in excellent shape.
Solid as always
Great condition. Decided to walk nine, paired with a great Dad and Daughter who really made it enjoyable. This course always seems to get the groups perfect. Good breakfast before (Lauren is the best!), and a great range and putting green to figure out what I’m going to battle the rest of the day. Always solid place.
Great Course
Even though they had an alert for Overseeding, the course looks like it will be excellent once that is completed. The greens were slow but that is to be expected this time of year. The greens should be outstanding once they are mowed down.
Course in good shape after overseading
The course is in good shape after overseeding however the greens were very long and putting was a chore. It felt like you wanted to use a 9 iron to putt anything over 20 ft
Hairy but Playable
Fairways ad Greens were hairy and slow but in great condition while still in over seeding stage of mowing.
