The Club at Starr Pass offers 27 holes of championship golf that have been host to legends such as Arnold Palmer and Phil Mickelson. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. One of these combinations is Coyote/Roadrunner. Coyote is the club's signature course and while the Roadrunner nine might be the shortest, it has plenty of elevation changes. Both golf courses are carved from the scenic Tucson Mountains, providing golfers with a diverse landscape that is abundant with jackrabbits, quail, and deer. In addition to the three nines, there is also a double-loaded driving range and a practice area with putting and chipping greens.

Tough but beautiful

I played the Rattler/Roadrunner nines Memorial Day Weekend. I played Men’s Hybrid tees which was a mixture of gold, black and silver tees. Slope was about 135. The course was tough but fair. Several forced carries, beautiful valley and Mountain View’s, and a really nice layout. Greens were a good speed but not too fast. Service was great as well. Will definitely play again.

One of the worst days of golf I've had.

We were put on the 9 hole walking course with carts for our front 9 after paying for the full 18. The pace was a little slow and packed on the first tee box the group in front teed off late and the group behind us was waiting for us to go. Nothing too bad we were in a good zone but when we found a good pace and good spacing by hole 3 another gentleman skipped in front of us. This created so much more Backup we and the group behind us ended up waiting every hole for 15 mins no matter how slow we went. When we got to hole 11 3 hours and 20 mins in we couldnt take anymore and went home.

Many holes are tricked up

Lots of target golf to blind spots. Lots of local knowledge needed. Very wind dependent. Not enjoyable

Very enjoyable round of golf

Starr Pass always provides an enjoyable round of golf. Nits - couple of holes have some awkward layouts (odd distances & carries) and the greens are getting hard now so they don't hold shots. That's OK the approaches allow you to run the ball up but if there's a guarding bunker the greens should be watered to make them a little more receptive. But altogether it's a great place to play a round of golf .. Recommended.

Was the best kept course we played during the week. Pricey, but well worth the time and money. Bring your "A" game for sure. Great course!
