The River Club

One of the best I’ve played this season. Very nice layout and is in great shape. I just wish I could hit my irons 🥴

Played first thing this morning and it was great! The staff at the bag drop and the carts I will give a big thumbs up. The course is in great condition and the greens are fast and true. The front shop and the restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating! Thanks for a great day!

Our experience was not good. It started with being informed our tee time had been pushed back 16 minutes without giving us any notice. Their excuse was that more than expected members had scheduled to play. Worse yet was the process of dropping bags off. They were taken and placed in a waiting queue to be loaded on carts. No explanation for how the process worked. When we tried to load our golf bags on unused carts we were rudely chastised for jumping the gun and told to wait out turn.

It got worse. The course used tee times 8 minutes apart. The result was waiting on every tee, sometimes for 2 or 3 groups. Result was over a 5 hour round.

We will not be back.

Starter was not friendly. Too many rules. No you can’t have a cart. Put your clubs over there. I’ll put them on the cart when I’m ready. No you can’t have a key to the cart to go get your clubs. No you can’t drive to the first hole until the people have tee’d off. New carts with gps are a pain in the you know what. Constantly shutting off due to you driving to your ball. Pace of play was ridiculous. Waited on every hole. Would have been a 5 hr round if we could have finished before dark. They have a ranger but never saw him until dark seeing if everyone was finishing up. I will not go back.

Everything was great we had perfect weather good company greens where quickest and most undulating I have played yet here in Florida

Course is in reasonable condition and staff friendly. Problem is - like many of these Florida courses-

they pack people in. 8 minute tee intervals combined with the normal lost balls in the Florida water hazards and you have yourself a 5 hour round. Not a marshall in sight.

I've played here a couple times and the staff was incredible rude each time. The cheese is in decent condition. B greens need a little work with some dead spots and invasive grass growing in. The electric dyed twice fire the group in front of me. I actually had to their one guys bags on to my cart and I joined their threesome. If you like being treated like crap then please go here

Way too slow play. I think too many foursomes scheduled per hour. Painful, had to quit after 9 could not stand the slow pace. Would not come back unless I read better things in the future.
