Only thing positive about this course is their 16th hole. Other than that I really don't want to revisit.

It was a a great course but they didn’t have my reservation from TeeOff I don’t know if it was a course problem or a TeeOff problem

Sad
Don't play this course. They care more about the carts that won't allow u to get within 60 yards of a green, or close to traps or water. The cart quits working. Also, No ice, only at the club house and they give it out sparingly. The starter was rude and sent us off, knowing we would run into a league off the back. We had to play the front twice. When we mentioned it, he just shrug his shoulders. I won't go back.
For anyone else reading this, we have cart controls to prevent people driving on the greens and collars as this person was attempting to do. It also keeps people from driving into lakes while ball hawking. We are trying to maintain the quality of these sensitive areas. As for the ice, I have no idea what he is talking about. We offer coolers filled with ice and drinks to all customers at check in. Please be advised most negative reviews are from hot deal customers who buy 2:30 pm tee times and show up early wanting to go out in front of our paying customers. They often leave ugly reviews when told they must tee off at hot their assigned time.
They need to close this course
Major drainage issues and repairs going on. Deep aerated greens with holes bigger than quarters, topped with layer of sand. Everyone just goes out as they please, not a single ranger on the course to enforce play. I picked up 5 beer cans on the front nine alone. Close the course and fix the issues, the summer traffic alone is compromising all efforts by the maintenance crew.

Tony, the greens were to be expected for this time of year. It was the lack of drainage, standing water, EVERY SINGLE sand bunker collapsing & filled with water.... should I go on?
For anyone else reading this, we always get 1 star reviews after we aerify the course. We have to invest in maintaining the greens if we are to keep offering great conditions at the best price in town. Everything will be back to normal in a week. Thanks for your patience. Tony
Fairway swamp
Don’t hit the fairway unless you like fried eggs. Awful drainage. Don’t play here until January.
For anyone reading this, we have been bombarded with rains these past few weeks. Several days with over 5 inches of rain. There is nothing a golf course can do under these circumstances. No clue why this reviewer would leave a bad review about weather here. Course is in the best shape it has been in for years. Best prices and friendliest staff in town.
Garbage
Was at this course a few weeks ago and wasn’t in bad shape but boy has it gone down. All of the sand traps were under water so if you got in em you weren’t getting out. The fairways were extremely wet and flooded. Pace of play was absolutely horrendous and the starter whom was basically non existent and unfriendly to start you, so it was a free for all with pace, by 9 holes we were :50 behind pace. Didn’t see the ranger/starter until hole 18 after we skipped 4 holes due to pace. Will not be back.
There is obviously nothing we can do about the substantial rain that has come our way this past week. We had 5 inches on one day alone. For anyone else reading this, please see other more thoughtfully written reviews. The conditions are the best they have been in many years. Best prices and friendliest staff in town.
Poor management
Poor course management through the whole thing. Booked a 916 time and both us, and the tee time before us waited 40 minutes before playing to allow 8 walk one to play. Staff said they’re top notch players so we don’t have to worry. Course was in rough shape as well. Unfortunate experience the whole way through
Very enjoyable
Course was in good shape considering the amount of rain recently. Other players very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back!
Great course to play especially for the price, fairways were nice and greens were great. Only issue was being summer in Florida is when most courses aerate the greens and fairways so you can see the reminder of that on some holes but beautiful course. Challenging enough but not too bad where you want to quit or toss a club. Definitely will play again.
Horrible Condition
Course is in terrible shape. Greens and fairways burned out and the greens are like putting on gravel.
Will not be back. It’s a 2 star course.
We just aerated the greens and fairways a few days before you played. We have to do periodic maintenance if we are to provide great playing conditions at reasonable prices. For anyone else reading this, the course has recovered completely and is in fantastic shape.

For anyone else reading this, The River Club has one of the best layouts in town. Very unique, tons of hills, tree lined fairways. Beautiful and challenging. Great prices, great food and the friendliest staff in town.
