The River Club

We could tell you had just over seeded… the course was very wet in places… greens not mowed very well… it was an ok day but I’m not headed back anytime soon… it’s too bad because I do love the layout… hopefully soon course conditions will improve…

The course has a fun layout and can be challenging.

Nice layout.,...but....

Greens are in need of rebuild. They are bumpy and very grainy. Also, of course, they are mostly quite small.,

We waited over a half hour for a cart.

Had to be paired up.

Pace of play was a nightmare.

Every hole is different. Very challenging depending on the tees you play. Always enjoyable.

Course was in good condition despite no overseed grown in yet. There had been new sod put down to repair 6 or so greens. The staff at the front desk was terrible, not friendly at all. Staff manning cart distribution were a little better but not great. Friend got a hot dog and a coke and total was $11, which is high for what was provided. Got a $26 Tee Off hot deal which was great. Regular price is a little high for the level of the course.

The course had an interesting layout with some very challenging holes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Greens are recovering nicely and the superintendent’s staff is doing a great job.

Food was very good after golf.

We’ll play this course again!!

Course was beautiful and in great shape.

People were friendly. We met the owner and he was very nice.

Only wish that on the turn to #10 there would have been snacks/beverages.

Will definitely come back again.

Poor course conditions. From reading previous rescues respondent doesn't seem to handle criticism very well.

Positive, played with my friend and the staff did not charge me for my junior golfer playing with us.

They always have been great to junior golfers.

Not the not so great, half of the greens are under repair, and covered with divot mix. So rolling true putts tough to do.

We even had temporary greens in the fairway… nobody mentioned that. Would have been great to know. Other than that, and a few very wet spots on the course after all the heavy rains we had, in good condition. Fairways looked ok,

Layout is always nice. Course had a birdies and pars out there.

This is usually a great course to play at. However, this particular time, the cart attendant (older, dark hair, looked under the influence) was very unpleasant. While we were loading up our cart, he dropped mini coolers from carts and started kicking and throwing them in a pile with an angry look. It was pretty disturbing and my partners and I just looked in disbelief asking each other what his problem was.

Other than that, the course is fun to play at. Carts need upgrading but nothing major.

Labor Day golf. I understand that generally the course play will be slower, but it was brutal. Waiting 5-10 mins every hole to tee off? No ranger, no cart service, no halfway house open, very poor service. Greens were in horrible condition and it looked like the bunkers hadn't been raked/dragged in weeks, weeds were growing in several fairway bunkers. This course has definitely been neglected. It should be coming into good condition as we approach in season for FL, instead it's going in the opposite direction. Golfed here two years ago and it was quite the opposite. It's too bad, as this layout is nice, just horrible amenities at this point. Go somewhere else until they get their act together.

The staff was very friendly and offered advice about the course. Great layout and fun to play, I used all 14 clubs. I was not a fan of the nines not separated by a turn at the club house. It was very hot, you're not allowed to bring a cooler and there were none on the carts to store purchased drinks. The greens were being punched but that's somewhat expected this time of year in FL. I'll play there again.

Course was in good condition overall ( especially the fairways.and tee boxes) but work on greens were in progress, making some unplayable due to sandy areas and bare spots.
