Indigo Lakes GC
Course in great shape, greens are excellent and very fast. Pro shop very courteous and helpful.
Boy them greens are fast.
Stayed in Ormond 9 days, played the course 3 times. We really enjoyed the course. First day we were paired up and it took 5 hours Second day 4 hours and the third day we were on our own with no one behind or in front. N shortage of sand at the beach and as long as you hit straight the water isn't much of an issue. What a great way to play. The course was in great shape and the management was very friendly.Excellent value.
Good course, Good Price
Course is in much better shape under new ownership. Good price for quality course.
Indigo 28 jul 2014
Had a very good time. the course was in good shape. the starter explained the course layout well and the positions of the flags on the greens.
Slow start good finish
We started behind a group of 5 on the first tee at 8:15 am. Disappointed about that, then see the greens were coated with a layer of sand. The group played ok in front of us didn't have to wait much after 1st 3 holes. Turn the corner at 10 & they let us play threw (thank you fellas) & grounds crew came around & cleaned off the sand so back 9 was better. When we finished went in to discuss the sand issue hoping to play again at a reduced rate, they gave us a free replay to play again. Very happy with our experience.
Great Shape But WARNING!
Best shape this course has been in for years. Even with all the excess rain it was in great shape (cart path only).
WARNING: DO NOT book a tee time for here through golf now if your are a single! They will not guarantee that you will go off at the time you booked. If you are being paired with another group it is up to them if they want to let you join them! This is the second time this has happened to me at this course.
pleasant surprise
didnt know what to expect being first time playing course but pleasantly surprised the course is in very good shape great value super friendly staff from the minute we pulled up to the bag drop course is just challenging enough that you have to execute good shots will play again
Fun but had HOT and Rainy weather
Course is in terrific shape, but not handicap friendly. You have to walk 40 - 60 yards to the greens and 60 to 70 yards to approach shots. Restrooms need some help. Bring plenty of drinking water when it's hot as fresh water is few and far between. But found a nice bonus, they coolers filled with ice, ice scoop, and a water fountain at both of the on-course restrooms. Customer service was great except one person.
must play
great course its nice to be in the heart of daytona and be so close to nature
A great value on a newly rejuvenated course!
Under new ownership, Indigo Lakes is blossoming and is in very good condition. The greens are very good and the management is exceptional. We were treated with personal attention by all of the personnel from the golf operation and the restaurant as well. We are considering an annual membership for next year.
Excellent Value
We are from Arizona and have played this course over the years. We have seen excellent conditions and then we have seen a decline a few years ago. However, it appears that new course management has really taken over and bringing the course back to its glory days. The greens are good but you can see the work being done that will transform them into something special. Excellent value course; don't miss playing this gem .
Indigo Lakes
What a way to start a day. The course was in very good condition. The staff was very pleasant and willing to help me in any way. The fairways were narrow but a lot of fun.
Slow Play
I really like this course. I went off as a single...and was doing well...for awhile. Ran into a backlog of one foursome that was ahead of some twosomes and me. I don't care if you're bad...just be bad quickly. They were plumb bobbing every single putt, even the ones for a 9 on a par 3. I called the clubhouse, as did the twosome behind me...and nothing. There was even a ranger out there...who drive right by them after the group in front of me spoke to him. We all could've been done in 3 to 3.5 hours. There's no excuse for not urging folks to play faster or pick up. I like this course and will go back there...but they need to pay closer attention to slow play.
Great course and very nice staff
The course was very nice and not crowded at all. The staff was great and i will be going back to play it again.
Fun tio play
Course was in very good shape. Greens were in good shape for FL weather and were not too slow. Bar closed a 5 so no drinks or food after round
Great course!
This was a great course for the money. Used golf now and was only $18 for cart and green fee!! Very nice layout and the greens were fair, Evan after they just sanded them.
Good shape - bad timing - nice layout.
I got a great rate for 1st a.m. t-time and bought it as a solo. Got there by 7:00 - easy check in with "course doesn't open til 7:30". Starter let me off by myself right at 7:30. Some greens were getting watering as I approached and some greens had dressing (sand) so they weren't really great but not the worst greens by far - little bumpy. I was just working on my t-shots and approach shots mostly since the greens were rough. I'm sure in a couple of days they'll be great again. Pretty place.
Nicely kept course
A very slow round--we waited at every hole, and this was on a Thursday. Otherwise, OK.
Best for last
Well it was my last day in Daytona and I went to Indigo Lakes. It turned out to be the jewel of the week. We played from the whites which was 6200 yards long with a 69.9 handicap and slope rating of 124. The whole course was in excellent shape. Indigo has well maintained driving range, putting and pitching areas. The staff was very friendly with personnel at the bag drop, starter and a beverage cart and marshal on the course. The fairways were forgiving and you could find your ball in the rough (not a jungle). The sizes of the greens varied (links to large) which I thought was strange but it didn't matter. The beautiful homes on the course were far enough away from the fairways and greens. I would like to play this one again.
Too Long to play 18
The course is in great condition, greens and fairways were nice.. Staff was nice as well. Only complaint was the pace of play, there were two groups that were slow as can be and wouldn't let anyone play thru.. Ranger told about it a couple of times and did nothing about it. Overall the course was in great shape..
