About
Fernandina Beach Golf Club is home to three distinct nines, the North, South, and West that make up three different 18-hole combinations. This 27-hole facility boasts a unique configuration on each of the nines for a truly diverse golfing experience. The North/West course at Fernandina Beach Golf Club combines the longest nine, the West, and the shortest nine, the North. The North nine features undulating greens and water hazards but the generous, wide-open fairways of the West nine make the golf course accessible to players of all skill levels. Native foliage in addition to towering oaks and pines throughout the course allow for a scenic escape in addition to an excellent round.

Fern Beach Public Course Review
Unfortunately, the course has not gotten any better over the years. The fairways are rock hard, the greens are just Ok, and the tee boxes are hit or miss. The range is closed due to insurance claim issues from the hurricane. The layout is good and the staff are very friendly, I really want the course to be great, but sadly it’s not.
Course is improving
This course has dealt with some mismanagement in the past and was starting to overcome that when they got about a foot of rain from a tropical system that set them back a little. I can't wait to see how they improve in the spring and the summer. The greens were not overseeded, but the majority are in good to great shape. They putt true but are not fast. They are soft to land on. Fairways are mostly in good shape. The layout makes it challenging and fun. They probably are more like a 3.5 on course conditions, but since they have some of the better greens right now, I gave them a 4.

Golf course was nice. Been playing at this courses for 43 years
Great course
Wonderful course. Was able to play as a single for all 18 holes with no one behind or ahead of me. Really relaxing. Grounds are well kept, staff very friendly, and views were great. Love this place
Some interesting holes
Greens were good and true. Fairways were a little spotty. Rough was kinda rough.

The course (North-West) was in the best condition in 6 years! Kudos to the grounds crew for an excellent turnaround in the past 6-7 months. More golfers should give the course a try!
Thought a driving range with top tracer would be cool
…too bad it’s been closed for months. Not only did it not say anything on their website about it being closed but they were still actively advertising it. You can even ball range balls through GolfNow. Course was in good shape greens were well maintained on the north and south course. Didn’t get a chance to play the west course.
