Staff was awesome. Course is tremendous. Great layout with a wide variety of holes. Pristine condition.

Pristine fairways, untouched tee boxes, true greens and a friendly layout that still challenges golfers of all levels with a great selection of tee options.

Golf course is in peak shape, the development being built around it still has quite a ways to go

Great facility, nice practice, green, best public golf course. I’ve played this year. Jump on it while you can, It can’t last long.

Greens were in absolutely perfect condition and probably rolling around a nine or 10

This course is only 2.5 months old but man it’s going to be so pure once the greens and fairways settle in. Amazing staff and layout. Aqua driving range and one of the nicest short game facilities around

For it to be a brand new course yes they have receive a lot of rain I was hoping it would drain a little better

The course was beautiful but the staff are the highlight of the day. Very nice and hard working people.

This is a brand new facility and a brand new course so it’s a good time to jump on rates that are a little lower than normal because I believe me this place is gonna go through the roof once people find out about it.

First off if you’re playing this time of year or towards the late summer, bring ice a lot of ice because the facilities still do not have water! However, the staff which is top-notch has plenty of cold, bottled water, soft drink, drinks, and free snack snacks to get you through your round. Again, you need to bring a lot of ice! Now there is one small problem I wouldn’t wolf down a ton of food before or during the round because there’s only one bathroom but of course, not one area one bathroom. So only drinks they can sweat through your skin. Lol

The course itself I would recommend for anybody, including young kids, learning how to play. Plenty of tea boxes and for low handicap like myself you can really stretch this place out. I believe it capped off at 7069 yards. Really great part three holes in this course., T shots in a par five are pretty wide open however, the greens are worth this place is gonna get ya. Lots of little hidden spots on the greens, where a greenskeeper could punish someone if he chooses. Bunkering his top notch and we’ll see how that goes after one full season if they keep it up that way.

I gotta say I’ve been to a lot of golf course openings around the country in a service at this place ranked up there with stream song when they first opened and had no clubhouse.

they have a great short game facility in an aqua driving range with little mini islands at just the right distance is to get you prepared.

Highly recommended for anywhere just south of Savannah or North of Daytona. I live in Winter garden and the trip was well worth it.

Course is absolutely immaculate, the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome, we were treated like VIP's. Looking forward to my next round here.

Overall condition of the course was excellent, except the sand traps were compacted due to all the rain and the sand was not very deep! Greens were excellent! The ruff was consistent, about 3to 4 “ deep. If you hit your ball in the ruff it was impossible to fine it . You had to step on it to find it. My friend that I played with shot a 80 and lost 4 balls on his drives that trickled into the side of the ruff!!!

Loved playing at this brand new course! They’re still working on a lot of things but this place was great! It’s open, no trees. The pro shop was nice, still working on restaurant and other things but i definitely plan on making the trip to compete again!

I started learning to golf in April of this year and have played quite a few different courses in that short time. Esplanade at St. Marys has easily become my favorite.

I first started playing here during the “Preview Nine,” before all 18 holes were open, and apparently that was all it took because I haven’t been able to stop coming back. Now that the full 18 is open, it’s even better. I’ve played here multiple times already and, somehow, I consistently play some of my best golf here.

The staff has been fantastic every single time I’ve been out — everyone is friendly and welcoming (special shoutout to Tyler!). They even have cart attendants who meet you at your vehicle and help load and unload your clubs. As someone who is perfectly capable of wrestling my golf bag out of the car myself but would much rather not, I could get used to this level of service.

The facilities are awesome, too. The practice area is one of my favorite parts. They have an aqua driving range and a fantastic short game area. There’s also the new putting area, “The Trail,” which is different from a traditional putting green but really fun and even has its own scorecard so you can challenge your friends.

The carts are super nice and have built-in GPS/course maps, plus a cooler on the back — because knowing exactly how far I am from the green while still somehow coming up 40 yards short is very important information. 😂 Snacks and drinks are complimentary, which is another huge plus, and the Pro Shop actually has a great selection of merchandise instead of just the obligatory three branded polos and a sleeve of golf balls.

As for the course itself, it’s beautiful. Every hole feels a little different, the greens and fairways have been in great shape when I’ve played, and there honestly aren’t any holes I dread getting to. It’s challenging enough to keep things interesting for experienced golfers but still very playable and enjoyable for someone newer like me. I can have a rough hole (or three 😅) and still have a great time playing the course.

It can also be surprisingly affordable, especially if you keep an eye out for the Hot Deals on Golfnow (plus, think of how much you saved with those free snacks and drinks!). For the quality of the course, facilities, carts, and overall experience, I think it’s an excellent value.

My only real complaints are things that will hopefully improve with time since the course is brand new. Some of the cart paths are still under construction, and there is approximately zero shade out there. If the Coastal Georgia sun has a personal vendetta against you, bring sunscreen, a hat, and whatever hydration strategy you normally reserve for survival situations.

Overall though, Esplanade at St. Marys has quickly become the course I compare other courses to. From playing the Preview Nine to now having the full championship 18 available, I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching it come together — and apparently I’m going to continue donating a significant portion of my free time (and paycheck) to it.

Beautiful course, great staff, fantastic practice facilities, excellent service, and a layout I actually look forward to replaying.

10/10 — will absolutely be back!
