Nice practice area and course layout meandering through a neighborhood. Many tee boxes were in need of attention and others have been moved, apparently temporarily, to fairways or closely mown rough areas. The restaurant/bar/lounge was not open before or after our round, which was disappointing. Overall a nice day though.

Tee boxes were in good shape. The fairways were really nice. Some of the views of the greens were beautiful. Overall, had a wonderful experience.

They were doing a lot of treating and aerating with no mention of it before the round. The one thing I really wish they would do better at is the pace of play. It took me almost 3 hours to play the front 9 and was in the 4th group waiting to tee off on the 10th. I couldn’t play the back 9 because I couldn’t afford another 3+ hours.

Course is in ok shape, tee boxes need some work and golfers need to repair their ball marks on the greens which is always a problem there

Birkdale is always a fun yet challenging course to play. Great value. Staff is friendly and professional. Course is recovering nicely from winter but still had some spots that needed attention. Overall highly recommend.

Enjoyed the pace of play for an afternoon round. Very green condition for this time of year compared to other public courses. looking forward to getting another "Hot Deal"!

Short course with a nice layout. Good for walking. I believe that it is $5-$10 too expensive .

Weird tee boxes - I believe this is because they are trying to improve the tee boxes.

Sand traps were in really good condition. I found my share!

Work on the bare spots - not many.

Need bathroom availability after hours - wife peed in the parking lot!!!

Need a ranger to monitor pace of play - I would have jumped a hole if I knew it was clear in front of the group in front. Also, while the traps were in great shape,the ranger could check to ensure the traps were raked (I raked mine plus more in all the traps I found) and also check for ball marks. The Ranger may be able to identify the culprits and teach them course etiquette. I am willing to work as a Ranger - call me to discuss.

Overcrowded, we were hit into by a single multiple times. We spent the last 6 holes waiting over 5 minutes to hit at different times all while someone was hitting into us or breathing down our neck from behind. Glad we were playing 9 because our nerves couldn't handle another 9.

Course has a mix layouts, risk and reward holes added to the thrill of the game. Course needs a little car in some high use areas but overall plays well.

Pace of play was very slow. Multiple groups ahead of us not following rules, dropping 5 balls at a time until they hit a good one. LOTS of rocks in just about every tee box for whatever reason. Has not been like this in the past. Course is fun and typically in better shape. Maybe this was just an off weekend. I’ll come back in the future and give it another shot. Price is a little steep in my opinion compared to similar courses in better condition. Will say the staff was great and very friendly during multiple encounters.
