About
The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Great conditions
Had a great time playing. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Disregard prior crappy reviews. Go and play the course. You will enjoy the round!
The course was in poor shape
I golfed this course 5 years ago and it was in great shape. I golfed the course yesterday and was very disappointed in the condition and the greens.
The greens had several repairs and patches. They were in very bad shape. I will not come back and play again. Walk would be disappointed.
After staring about 8 minutes late we had a marshal tell us on the 3rd hole that we had to pick up our pace . Which was funny because we were waiting on group in front of us all day . They also had a 2 some in front of us and behind us . If pace of play was a concern they should manage their tee times better . The condition of the greens were horrible and the Proshop said nothing to us . All of this was disappointing. Looks like years ago the course was great .

Tough shape greens
The staff were wonderful! The course must get a lot of business because it was rather beat up!!
Especially the greens. Sorry to say that but there are many other courses for the same price with much better conditions.
Disney Course Disappointment
For the price you pay, you would expect either great conditions or a great layout. Neither take place. On top of that it’s not worth the Disney hassle of getting on property and having everyone in your car scanned for temperature. They were scanning hats and anything people stuck out the window. If your going to have rules, do a good job where they actually make sense. I’d prefer to play at any other track in the Orlando area.

Extreme slow play
Rangers were ineffective at moving slow players. We could not finish our round because of darkness. Very frustrating
Front nine greens need work

Greens need some love
Nice course long for sure from the blues. Overall great time staff fantastic. Greens need a lot of love given to them
High expectations to low expectations
I was very excited to play the magnolia course, when me and my brother got to the first hole we had to wait a half hour just a Tee off. Also forgot to mention that it was car path only the group ahead of us was two people with one bag and no proper golf etiquette whatsoever. We played about 3 1/2 hours just to get to the fourth hole. We paid for 18 holes and there was no possible way for us to get 18 holes in. I was very disappointed.
I’m at Disney????
This course is not maintained to Disney standards and should have come with a huge disclaimer. Greens were ridiculously slow. Putting on 70’s shag carpet. You needed to put a 2 putt only rule in effect. And whoever mows then should be fired. Not mowed to the edges, big rectangular cut marks at the edges. Fairways cut with big grooves / tracks in them. Rough was ok, tee boxes average. They said they had a recent issue is why they had to have it that way, but Disney should close it until ready when that bad.
