Disney's Magnolia Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Unfortunately, the climate of recent has not been conducive to healthy turf growth, but we expect that as the weather warms up again, that the vibrancy of the turf will again return.-Management Photo submitted by Ah1122 on 03/24/2021

Course could be good but pace of play shocking
This is an ex pga tour course with heaps of of potential but it is ruined by disney capitalism:
1. The tee times are too close together.
2. There is no minimum standard for what is a difficult course.
3. An 'acceptable' time for a 3 ball is 4.5 hours.
4. People are allowed to share clubs.
5. People are allowed to hit multiple balls despite holding others up.
6. Course condition is mediocre as a result of these points.
Our experience of this course epitomises the problems with golf:
Myself and 2 competent golfers would normally expect to complete 18 holes on a decent course in 3-3.5 hours but it is impossible because of the above noted points, in particular point 2. This is supposed to be a championship course and you should need to demonstrate an acceptable handicap in order to play.
Had a great time!
Course was in good shape. Got a little backed up, but only cause of a few groups in front of us taking there time. Staff was nice.
Excellent Course
One of the nicest courses I have ever play. It is a well laid out in a natural setting. Disney got it right with this course.
Pace was slow
Feel like Marshall didn't do his job to speed up play. Could easily finish but waited on every hole after hole 2. Greens were slow in my opinion and I've seen better at Disney.
Also the pro shop tried to charge me a different price then what I was shown on golfnow and to be honest, that has been happening a lot lately and I'm always showing the pro shop my reservation to get the price I booked.
Not sure if this is golfnow issue or the course but this needs to get fixed as I'm sure more than half the people who reserve through golfnow are paying more.
MAGNOLIA Course
This course was gorgeous, and full of challenges, all the grass was in pretty great shape for it having rained the day before.
The rest of the amenities here are wonderful as well
10/10
Best Course of the Trip
Played Magnolia on a nice warm sunny day which helps. We were two and paired up with another friendly twosome. We were all aware of pace and played a comfortable round slightly over four hours. The layout is very playable and challenging. Magnolia has wide fairways but good length and and plenty of trees, sand traps, and water to make it challenging. The conditions are top notch throughout tees, fairways, greens and sand traps. The sand traps are really fun compared to most on other courses. The greens roll very consistently and with good speed, although they are that tricky Florida grainy grass that sometimes requires a confident stroke to hold the line. Consistent plantings around the course provide a lush environment. After 18 on Magnolia, we signed up for another 18 on Palm at the replay rate and had another enjoyable round. Palm while not as lush as Magnolia was in very good condition.
Great day
The course was in great shape. The greens were smooth & rolled ture. The signs at each hole was entertaining.
Fantastic! Great condition!
Hard to believe this course is so close to the craziness of Magic Kingdom. Conditions were phenomenal. The greens have grown through their last aeration & rolling true. The fairways were quite generous, and the rough was low enough to hit out of and more importantly locate your ball unlike some other local tracks. Pace of play was slower than I liked, but still got thru in 4.5 hrs which is to be expected at a WDW resort in November. We also had at least 8 deer walk in front of our tee box at a few holes! Turkeys too! All with the Grand Floridian in the background. Lastly, if you're going soon, don't get a tee time after 1:30 if you want to complete the round. Nothing against the course, but you'll struggle to finish due to the amount of folks playing.
Middle of the road course
Good quality course but lacks any outstanding holes.
Greens are relatively flat.
A nice course to play with good course conditions.
A long course from back tees.
Disney golf
Great golf course, great staff, the pace of play fairly was slow due to a fourball being able to play a texas scramble. Little disappointed that they made the other half pay $15 to ride in the buggy
Great experience
great experience. Played here multiple times and it is a little different this time as they have pulled back some amenities. That being said I still love playing at this course.
Very nice
Course was great. Greens were perfect. Hard place to play but fair. Very long. Club up!
Average
Nice layout, average conditions. Does not worth the money they charge! There’s a lot of better courses in the area for half the price!
Thank you for your feedback on your recent round at Walt Disney World® Golf. We apologize for the fact that your were displeased with the facilities and services that your experienced. We hope that you will play our wonderful courses again in time to come, so we can exceed your expectations upon your next visit to Orlando.
Our courses right now are recovering from our annual Spring aerification maintenance, and we are sorry that you are disappointed in the overall conditioning of our playing surfaces. They are still in the final stages of recovery from the procedure administered in late September.
If you would like to discuss what you and your group encountered during your visit with our management staff, please feel free to reach out to our leadership by emailing disneygolfreservations@palmergolf.com so that we can help resolve your residual concerns.

Fun course
Everything about the course was fantastic. The greens were still recovering from aerification about a month ago so a little bump but still rolled great. Best part about the course was the starter, Jim from Texas. Give that man a raise.
Fantastic
The wife and come to Disney every year and this is the first time I’ve ever played this course and let me tell you from the time we checked in for our tee time till the time we left the staff was fabulous. The course was great the wife and I spent more time taking pictures of the wildlife than playing golf. The wife can’t wait to return!
Great Golf!
Played Disney's Magnolia Course yesterday using their friends and family discount.. $120 total with tax for a foursome.. We had 3 but still a great deal.. Disney has GPS carts.. Hard to find these days.. Excellent conditions.. Greens were very nice.. Wildlife like deer and alligators were seen.. Great weather.. Not that hot.. I highly recommend this and the Palm Course.. A+
Cart path only
Course almost unplayable. I should have asked for the refund but it was my first time playing Disney and did not think it would be that bad.

Our courses are extremely busy at this time of the year due to the beautiful weather here in the Orlando area during the winter months. As Walt Disney World and Orlando continues to grow, and with the recent closure of the Grand Cypress golf resort for major renovations, our facilities are busier than ever. We are also sorry that you are disappointed in the overall conditioning of our playing surfaces.
