Rating 76.0

The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Sorry didn't get to play the magnolia

THey had the US Kids there perparing for there event, so they redirected us to the Palms to better our pace of play. If the palms is any indication of any of the courses at this facility it is well worthy the time and money. Our time to complete the round was slowed by the foursome in front of us to wait the tee box and fairway on every hole speaks for itself (Where is a marshall when you need one).

Disney Course

Great Course.. rest stops on course not up to Disney standards. No Club house "19th hole" to go and review game over a drink and some food.

Really Nice Course, But Not Very Disney-like

I have always wanted to play at a Disney course, because I love Disney World! I got a pretty good deal on a tee time, so I was even more excited to play this course! The course itself is extremely nice, very beautiful and well maintained! It's challenging and a long course, but not frustrating. The only thing I didn't like about it was it wasn't very Disney like. I thought there would be more "fun" to it (I'm not talking about windmills and Disney characters running around, just, more Disney type fun...) but there wasn't. It was basically a really nice golf-course. I would have completely forgotten I was even NEAR Disney World, had it not been for the tee boxes with the Mickey Mouse ears. There is also one bunker in the shape of Mickey's head...but that's it. Again, it's a GREAT course, just not what I was looking for in a Disney course.

Too wet; too slow

The course was very wet - cart path only. Surprising that this course drains so poorly. Wet conditions and Father's Day pairings made for a long day on the course.
Everything else was top Disney quality and golfing beats almost anything else on a Sunday.

Greens Were piped and not great as you expected. But no one told me, and they still charged the same greenfee. I would have rebooked to another Course at Disney if i got the heads up.

Disney Golf

Have played here years ago, but course is not in as good of shape now. Maybe due to company managing it now. Overall, the course is in good shape. Fairways and greens are decent. The rough and areas around the green are sparse with quite a bit of it just dirt. Workers were trying to put sod in large areas that had no grass. Overall, not the course I played when
Disney operated it. Not a good value for the rate they charge.

Rough shape at the moment

I have played here many times and this time was disappointing. The greens were in rough shape my guess would be from the rough winter. I have full faith the course will bounce back in no time. One thing about this course is be ready for a 5+ hour round of golf. The staff is very nice and friendly and they provide a taste of that Disney customer service when you come out.

A Stone's Throw from Disney, But a World Away

Orlando is a world class golf destination, and accordingly, it has a number of great courses to offer. Disney's Magnolia Course is one of the best bets for visitors and natives alike. Just down the road from the attractions, this course will challenge avid golfers, but is also relatively forgiving for more intermediate players (or avid players on bad days, haha). The greens are true, the rough is manicured, and the overall feel of the course is tidy. I will certainly be frequenting this course again in the future.

Disney Experience

The course is probably the closest I will come to playing on a PGA course. Difficult enough to still have fun. Excellent conditions. Sometimes they have great deals for Florida Residents.

WOW!

If you have not had an opportunity to play golf at Disney, what are you waiting for? The experience that the Disney staff creates is the best in the area, and the course was in magnificent shape. The Fairways were soft and lush, the rough was pristine! The Greens were well kept, a little hard in my opinion..... This is the second Disney course I have played and its well worth the price. See you soon Mickey!
