Rating 73.7

The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6870 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 73.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.

This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Not worth the drive

Course should not have been open. Too wet, greens bumpy, mud and water everywhere. Drove over 1 hr. for this? Should have stayed and played local course in Brevard. Disney should be ashamed!!

Thank you for your feedback on your recent round at Walt Disney World® Golf. We apologize for the fact that your were displeased with the condition of our Palm course as it was presented to you. We offer all of our guests a 2-hole opt out from playing, in that if you play 2 holes or less and decide not to play due to course conditioning, or otherwise, you may return to the golf shop for a full refund of your greens fees as we do not want anyone being dissatisfied with their experience!

We hope that you will play our wonderful courses again in time to come, so we can exceed your expectations upon your next visit to Orlando.

Too wet for golf!

I have played golf in Florida for over forty years...this was by far the wettest most unplayable golf course I have ever played. I lost two sleeves of balls in the fairway! Fairways were too wet and rough was even worse! On top of that the greens were just punched and sanded. Disney should not have opened the course for play. The staff was Disney nice nothing special. Luckily the rate was cut in half but management should have closed the course until it drys out. Expected better from Disney

Upsetting

First, the driving range and putting green next to the first tee was blacked off for the privileged, kneeling NBA players, and the tee time ahead of us was late and the started didn’t allow us to go. However the course in great shape would play it again.

Great course

This course was in great condition. I can only remember two greens that was still bumpy. The rest rolled nicely. The fairway was in great condition. All around great place to play.

Surreal Disney

Anytime you play a Disney course you arrive anticipating three things:

1. Crowded conditions - it was

2. Really great course conditions - yup it was

3. Friendly staff - yes, as always.

In addition there is the true Disney atmosphere. Monorails running, train whistles, screams of joy on thrill rides and lots of people enjoying a Central Florida vacation.

The parking lots were empty. The monorails parked. The trains silent. The rides closed.

For the first time ever I enjoyed Disney's Palm in quiet. The peace that simply isn't ever possible at Disney because of the enormous popularity and crowds.

They had just aerated and things were a little rough. But it was still a Disney experience. Surreal. But Disney.

I have played every Disney course several times. The Palm is just an amazing track and I highly recommend it.

Fantastic course all the way around

You can’t beat the quality for the price. Fantastic fairways, thick roughs, greens were slow but pure. If you have the chance to play here you absolutely should.

Great course for the money

Fun, challenging, but fair. Love the layout but made sure move up a tee box. It’s plays longer than it reads. Very friendly staff as one would expect from Disney. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice, straight forward layout.

The course conditions were good. Greens looked good and rolled true but were on the slow side. Nice layout that goes through the Forest. Only negative to that was the lack of air movement as it was stagnant and hot, but that’s not a knock on the course. Had a great time playing the course!
