Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Lake Buena Vista Course at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1972. This course was so wet it should have been closed
This course should have been closed. It was very wet and muddy. Nobody should pay for a course that is unplayable!! Sinking 2 inches in mud is no way to golf.
Course Condition
Quite good the greens were quite slow.
Good eighteen hole layout with challenging
Holes.
Always play here when we visit Orlando
overpriced
Nice course but for the money I'd rather play other course. Tell cut services ie they don't take players to their cars with their clubs anymore and if ur playing with someone and they are at the range they don't take u 2 the range u have 2 carry ur clubs 2 ur riding partners cart. They still expect tips though. Their range balls cost over $7.00 for a small bucket and less than 40 balls.
Great shape but greens just done
I love all three Disney courses and play them often. To be honest, since Palmer management has taken over I believe the service level has dropped compared to the high standard of Disney. I turned up at Palm once with no one greeting me, chose a buggy, paid inside and made my way to first tee. Again, no starter, no score card and no ice box on my buggy. The starter met us on the tenth tee and asked why we had teed off without his permission on the first. We waited 5 minutes past our tee time and no one was in sight. One thing I must say is that the service has remained top notch at LBV and only seems to have dropped at Palm and Magnolia. All three courses are worth a visit despite the lack of service.
Greens
I was told that the green we're ok after they had been holed but I found them to be really bad.
PGA Course Conditions
If you want to play a course that resembles what touring professionals play, LBV is the course for you. The greens were fabulous and fast and the fairways were in good shape. The only issue that I had was that no golfers were in front of me on the front 9 and my group played at a quick pace, however, when we stepped onto the 10th tee box all of a sudden a 4 some was on the green and a 2 some was in the fairway. I don't know how they got in front of us other than starting their rounds on the back nine. Very disappointing, as we completed our front 9 in less than 2 hours and completed our back 9 in 3 hours. It made for a very long round. However, I booked LBV for $20 on Golf Now which is a STEAL!!!
LBV is the best of Disney
I've played them all and I like LBV the best.
The course is in very good to excelent conditions, the only fault were the bunkers and traps, still a little wet.
You must play here!
This is a must for any player! I loved the views and the perfectness of the course! If your at Disney just for the parks you need to take a day off and play here! We'll worth it! We were selected for the golf ambassador trial and we loved it! They did everything for you! You email them a day before you play and they are ready for you when you tee it up!
ms
great course great day of golf super... nice set up
Disney courses are the best!
A very good course to play and I'm glad I did the course played great from Tee to the greens were as nice as I seen in the area :)
great place to play
Great course and the staff was very courteous helpful and very enthusiastic about the golfers the cleanest of the cour they was there when there was a problem. the course was a challenge if you bring lots of balls because there is water and woods everywhere. the only concern is it is full of tourists.
Squishy; does not drain very well
Lake Buena Vista has never drained particularly well. On the day I played, it rained heavily the night before, which made the course extremely went.
I hit a couple of wedge shots from the middle of the fairway (and hit them well), but the amount of mud, etc., that splashed up made me look like I had been playing in a sandbox of mud. The traps were totally full of water, which could not be helped.
The combination of an early tee time and the moisture made the course play very long. Once a shot hit, including the fairway, it didn't budget. What you hit was all you got.
A Fun Course
LBV is a course that is not difficult but keeps your attention. The course was soggy, but in great shape otherwise (cart path only). Had the course to myself for almost the entire round. The soggy conditions may have had something to do with this. A flaw in the Disney courses seems to be that they don't drain as well as other courses after a lot of rain. You should keep this in mind if cart path only bothers you.
the course was in great shape
It was my first time playing this course. I cant what to play again. the first hole is a par five, it was tough.
lbvgc
Very beautiful. Each hole is hidden from the other. Right in disney but does not feel like it
LBV is Terrific Course
I haven't played this track in a while... The Arnold Palmer Managed facility is in terrific condition. The greens are true and quick. The entire course was in the best condition. The staff couldn't be more accommodating.... We had some slow play in the fist couple of holes and the ranger thanked us for our speed of play and he shared that he alerted the group in front of us to pickup then pace... We never had to wait again.. We will play here again soon.
Wait until it dries to play
The course was really, really, really wet and so it was cart-path only and there was absolutely no roll or give. Decent layout but it plays a lot longer when it is this wet. A little slow at points but overall a good pace. Cart lady was stationary at one and off the green at nine and had nothing really to offer. Out of sandwiches and hot dogs and wraps - basically just chips and drinks. You think Disney would know better.
The best
what a beautiful rain and lightning show we watched from the shelter at 3 5 tee. we played two more in the slop and then they closed the course, good move. Golf Now gave us a refund so at least we got to see the place. I'd love to go back there with my 4 som for that same price. Perfect Greens!!!
This course is in mint condition
It was quite busy as expected on a Saturday morning but the pace was good we never had to wait at a hole. Staff was super friendly, and we were warned of inclamate weather promptly. Only played 13 holes but would go back again no doubt.
