LBV Florida golf
Great course well maintained and some great challenges the greens were in perfect condition which allowed the ball to hold on the green nicely , the staff were excellent and friendly and glad to explain the past history of the course which for the first time playing it was nice to know your playing it were there's been some great tournaments there
Good day to start my season
Very friendly staff. Rented their brand new Taylor Made set, I hit them fairly we'll considering my winter rust. Greens were hard and quick. Place was busy. Only down side was foursome ahead we're not too concerned it was getting late.
Nice time with a friend
Loved it and met two new friends too. Tee time pretty much on time, Vallet shuttle to car when finished an extra plus!
Good layout, but over priced.
I was on vacation and the course was close to our hotel and I had already played other courses that week. It was going to be between Champions Gate National and Disney for my final round.
I chose Disney and I enjoyed the service and course layout a lot but the conditions were fair to good at best (recently top dressed greens and inconsistent speeds).
The price was way too high for the conditions ($120), but overall I'm glad I played it once.
I liked the fact that there was almost no blind shots and the risk/reward was fair. I also liked the variety types of holes.
I would play it again but only if the price was better.
Poor Directions to course
After purchasing from golfnow.com, I clicked on the course name (Disney's LBV) and then clicked on "directions" and I printed them out. However, several steps/roads were missing, got lost , asked several people for help. When finally arriving to guarded gate, I mentioned the poor directions and he informed me that many people have the same complaint. When I got to the Pro Shop, I again mentioned the poor directions and again they were aware of the problem for a long time. If DISNEY can't correct such a headache problem, then who can.
What you expect from Disney
Course was in great shape. Staff over the top helpful. Played with my wife at a 28 hdcp and course was very playable for her as well as challenging for me.
did not finish due to darkness
Great course but was disappointed not to finish because we ran out of daylight....did not play slow.Course just sold tee times too late to finish. All about the 'green' I suppose.
THE MOST CHARACTER OF DISNEY COURSES
This is my favorite of the Disney courses. The layout has more character than the others. Half the greens were in excellent condition, while the other half seemed to have many unrepaired ball marks and weed issues. But even the problem greens still were mowed well and putted decently. There is some water that comes into play. There are a couple of holes where resort guests wave to you traveling in boats to and from their hotel. The course from the white tees has most par 4's around 360 which makes it a fair test for the 15 handicapper like myself. The staff was more than friendly as you would expect at "the happiest place on turf" The only disappointment came when after our round, we wanted to get something to eat but the bar and grill did not open until 5pm and the restaurant on site is for regular hotel guests, so you have families and kids everywhere with a traditional theme park walk up service where you order and get a tray. It was noisy and expensive so we went outside the Disney area to a local sports restaurant.
Great fun: weaving course, very good condition
Staff at Lake Buena Vista is excellent; easy unloading and loading of clubs. Course is in excellent condition. We had one guest with us who had not played course before, and he really enjoyed the winding holes through the time share units of Disney World. Only negative was there is no decent restaurant associated at the course. We drove about 10 minutes to a real sit down restaurant. For a great day of golf, this is a four star experience.
the sloops were difficulty
It was very upsetting for my wife when she used the women's bathroom by the pro shop and the bathroom stalls were not clean and all the garbage baskets were full of used paper till the top also had feces in it that was not even flushed ...when she used the bathroom out in the greens were also not clean...for a Sunday when there is so many golfers it was not a very presentable site. At the greens garbage on the greens and all garbage cans were filled to the top where you could not throw anything..we had to but our bottles in our cart and throw it out when we finished golfing. Being operated by Arnold Palmer was very surprising and unsettling to see .
A thoroughly enjoyable outing
First time on a Disney course, and we had a terrific time. Very nice layout with a great variety of holes and very good to excellent tee boxes, fairways and greens. The round was nearly five hours, but that did not at all detract from the experience. We have booked the Magnolia course next week, and it will be interesting to compare the two.
Not in great shape
The greens were beat up from the play. The noise level was high on front nine with the Disney Market Place near by. On the back nine there were kids playing in the 17th fairway. The layout was good. Staff was friendly but not extremely helpful. I asked about range balls and wasn't told where to get them. We ended up driving out the range and had to come back to clubhouse to get them. Just wasn't a great experience from what one would expect from Disney.
Great course, but less so on a Saturday morning
I've played here several times over the last few years, and I really enjoy it, but I think I'll avoid it on Saturday mornings going forward. It was just way too slow.
Awesome
Awesome course but really slow play. Greens were a little tore up from people not fixing their ball marks.
My favorite Orlando course!
Simply my all time favorite course! Excellent shape and great layout as you wind your way through the Disney Resort Property. Very scenic! Only complaint is that the Driving range closes at 2pm on Wednesday and Sundays to collect balls. This is something that can be done at 4pm after the last tee time. Other then that, great course. Much better then the other Disney Courses.
this is a great course to play
This is my second time playing it was just as good as good as the first. Disney courses are the best.
Nice to play
Played for $80. Everything was top shelf. Cart path only the day we played and couldn't repair the divots and felt badly about that. Put the sand/soil in portable containers please. No complaints about anything, A really nice experience.
BEAUTIFUL DISNEY COURSE
The entire staff were outstanding, very helpful and considerate. Driving range and practice green were fun to warm up. The course was in great shape, greens ran fast, and fairways were fairly wide. I would definitely play this course again. The only down side was it did take awhile to get around.
great track and the greens were in great shape
Many people rate this lower then the other Disney courses but do your self a favor and add this to your list of must play when in Orlando. This one is fair and fun. The boats running through are a great touch. You will have a great time and it will not take 5 hours . The staff is great and the range is really different.
Excellent course; not a lunch place
Our threesome had a great day. Staff was suer friendly and helpful. Course is in excellent condition. The beverage cart on the course was excellent. The only negative was there was no sit-down restaurant, just an outdoor type service for hot dogs. We drove a few miles to real restaurant.
i was disappointed not to finish but the staff was very nice and friendly.....to rate them poor was an error.....small phone big thumbs
